Some of the (reality)celebrities and real girls from on TV, have decided (got paid) to talk about the way women look at being a woman and what the issue woman have to do and deal with on a daily basis

The reverse of the coin

Sometimes it's nice to see the other side of the story.

Don't get put off by the URL, this is a woman modeling men's clothes!

Love The Voice

A great many drag performers go for the grotesque. Jinkx Monsoon (a.k.a. Jerrick Hoffer) seems to go for the ironic.

Idols

Earlier today i was listening to some music, and i got to thinking. When i was a kid my childhood Idol was Madonna. Now obviously as a young boy there was no way in hell i'd ever admit to that!

Where is all the romance?

Not many entries to the Valentines Day competition so seemingly not much romance about. Why not watch this film 'The Artist' and see if it inspires you to write like it did for me?

HK tycoon offers $65m dowry for lesbian daughter

Definitely one from the weirder side of the news - Hong Kong property tycoon Cecil Chao has offered HK$500 million ($65 million) to any man who can woo her away from her lesbian partner.

Sigh...

For some of us older gals, this was a simply lovely song by a simply lovely guy...

Hunger Pangs ebook cover and Ragnarok Rising update

Hunger Pangs eBook Cover

Well, over the last few days I've been compiling my stories into eBook and making them look all nice and 'perdy', but I ran into a bit of snag when creating the eBook for Hunger Pangs. The images I used as the cover here on BCTS just wouldn't work for an ebook well at least not and look good. The dimensions were wrong and they were too small. I really didn't want to recreate the images so I got to thinking and did a redesign of the cover using the existing images and combined them with a new image to make this:

I stumbled across this on 2dives and thought I'd share it.

Alas Neil will be taking no more small steps anywhere. He died earlier today at the age of 82, apparently from complications following heart surgery three weeks ago.

Cassandra is a model and performer who was also in the documentary Trantasia.

I guess anything is possible.

SMILE, smile, smile !!!!

It gets tiresome saying this, but I will once again. SMILE ladies, Smile.

One of my biggest frustrations is when one of you puts your photo up and somehow I can look clear through to your very souls and see the pain, fear, lack of entitlement that lurks there; though poorly hidden.

Do what every young girl does. Spend time in front of the mirror, lots of it; time that is. Some of you seem to think you look more like the front end of a locomotive than a woman, but there is actually only one difference between a born woman and us, and that is entitlement!

I am schedualed to be an actress

Well I have very good awesome news.

an anti-discrimination film project being produced by Egale Canada (it's called: Courage in The Face of Hate). This film will be distributed to all high-schools in Canada to educate and sensitize students against LGBTQ discrimination.

Filming will take place on Wed, July 18th starting at 6:30pm in downtown Toronto (either a university or community centre setting, to be determined soon). There is a $25 stipend paid to participants.

Andy Griffith dead at 86

As much a part of U.S. culture through the 20th century as anyone could be, Andy Griffith has died.

Story here

Best known as Sheriff Andy Taylor, though not far behind was his role as lawyer Ben Matlock.

Edited to add: The first headline I saw about this read:

Sheriff confirms Andy Griffith dead at 86

And I just couldn't help but think... wait... wasn't HE the sheriff?

Congratulations to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and I

To all Her Majesty's subjects, and to all who honor her, I extend my feliciations on this joyous anniversary of her coronation.

To all Britons, Scots, Welsh, Irish, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, and even Normans, I wish you all a pleasant and well earned hangover.

In deference to my cousins...

To the citizens of the United States of America

From: Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In light of your failure in recent years to nominate competent candidates for President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. (You should look up 'revocation' in the Oxford English Dictionary.)

Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas, which she does not fancy).

The Gurl & the Secret Recipe

Did anybody see this film on You Tube. I can't access it and I thought the gurl/boy who played the part of brother and sister was so convincing. I also liked the girl who played one of 'her' protectors. But I've no idea about when this was made and for what audiences. Maybe someone can give me a link that is not through You Tube please.

We had a late business lunch with this movie/TV personality & print model yesterday, at a very, very upscale (not to mention expensive) out-of-the-way little restaurant in one of the five-star hotels in the main business district.  She was a very sweet and friendly girl, and had a big fund of funny stories to tell and had most of us giggling and laughing, much to the consternation of her personal assistant, since we were starting to bother the nearby tables.

But what really got us to pay attention was that she was drop-dead gorgeous. As in REALLY drop-dead gorgeous.

Was I jealous? Nahhh...

Dick Clark, the music industry maverick, longtime TV host and powerhouse producer who changed the way we listened to pop music with "American Bandstand," and whose trademark "Rockin' Eve" became a fixture of New Year's celebrations, died today at the age of 82.

Clark's agent Paul Shefrin said in statement that the veteran host died this morning following a "massive heart attack."

Wednesday was a regular workday here in Manila, but it was the day before the start of a four-day weekend. Most everyone wanted to go home to their hometowns, so there's usually a massive exodus of people from Metro Manila going towards various other places in the country.

Jen Xing's journey and triumph

http://rockcenter.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/03/10999602-ch...

A story on this amazing person will be on The Rock Center at 10 (East) 9 (central). It should be about 15 minutes long. In a country like China who still value boys over girls, her father's attitude is perceptive and loving. Even the Chinese government values her, and so does her husband who happens to be German.

Cool!!!!

Blake Lively Tells 'Elle' If She Has Sons 'They Better Be Trannies’

I've posted blogs containing news items that I think would be of interest to this community, on several occassions, but have not actually commented on the news item. I have to comment tonight.

I do not know anything about this actress, in fact never heard of her before seeing the article, but the woman has to be deranged, and would be a dangerous parent.

Adam Sandler's latest movie

The movie gets panned, deservedly so, a drag queen without the refinements? Does anything go in comedy, or just women? Some do it better, some worse.
