A little while ago (June 5, 10:58pm eastern) I got an e-mail from Laika. From out of the blue, actually.

Her e-mail was a little funny - it didn't have a subject-title, it was also sent to four other people that I didn't know (who is DALENEK1 anyway), and the e-mail's content was just a hotlink to an ad about a raspberry diet supplement.

And a few minutes after that, my iPad started asking me to re-confirm/re-enter the passowords for my other e-mail profiles. Hmmm... that's funny. Anyway, I didn't, and nothing bad happened when I didn't re-enter the passwords... Hmmm...

I cannot therefore help but think that Laika and I were being spoofed.

I'm surprised no-one spotted this

This was in last Sunday's Observer:

If the RAF can accept my gender transition, why can't the media?

I thought this was a reasoned piece by someone who has managed the transition while serving.

One way to look at the Girl Code

Some of the (reality)celebrities and real girls from on TV, have decided (got paid) to talk about the way women look at being a woman and what the issue woman have to do and deal with on a daily basis

A Little Princess

If anyone happens to be in the Northern California region, come and see our production of a new musical theater adaptation of Francis Hodgson Burnett's "A Little Princess" at the Sacramento Theatre Co

Ma said during our last skype call a few days ago that it's forty-five degrees back home. Living in Manila for a while now, I am now more used to using Centigrade when measuring temperature, as opposed to Fahrenheit, and using kilometers instead of miles when measuring distance. So when she said forty-five degrees, I used my iPad and came up with 7.2 Centigrade. I told her it was 95 degrees here (which is 35 in centigrade-speak). It's so friggin' hot here! What I wouldn't give for a forty-five degree day.

April Fool's Day!

I find it unusual that Easter Sunday is followed up by April Fool's Day.

Some may find that ominous, while others might think it funny. Me - I prefer to think it funny.

Anyway, Just wanted to tell everyone to watch out, coz it's April Fool's Day!

Hi Everyone I'm back---oops gone again

Hi Everyone,

Twenty of us in the group and we must have walked through fifty or sixty miles of factories.

Hello, everyone. I have been having problems with Yahoo Messenger, and I gather that a lot of the people I keep in touch with with via YM are having the same problems as well.

So, to supplement YM, and hopefully reduce the comm problems, I just got a prepaid, pay-as-you-go cellular plan here in Manila specifically for my friends here, so, if you want, you guys can contact me via SMS later, starting 8PM Eastern (which is 8AM Manila time).

Downtime Today (for BigCloset)

Hi Everyone,

For the last two days, I've been trying to get a test site setup for future BigCloset upgrades.

Looking for Coders / Programmers

Hey everyone!

So as the title of this blog reads, we are looking for programmers.

Still a ways to go

So, I just went into a fast food place in a town of about 25,000 in a very conservative part of Texas.

Updates On Life... (Read with Caution)

So it's been a long while since I posted an update about myself here. I've still been around, working behind the scenes but many may have noticed that I've not been very "public" at all lately.

Truth is, I've been through hell and back, and I don't think I'm done yet.

Service Restored.

Due to a hardware failure on another server, and the need to test hardware. One of our servers (Eva) which is the primary Star Stuff server, is going to be taken offline.

Today is a good day.

Well today is the first day at the new store. Its a new (store) format that the company has rolled out. I'm really excited to begin this new phase of my employment.

Oh my god. Update to the work situation.

Holy sh*t it happened.

A Black Friday LOL or more like a ROFL.

Ok folks this retail monkey needed a laugh today and got it. Read today's Skin Horse that last panel says it all. We are all hands on deck here at the store and smart phones are flying out the door.

Fortune cookie 2 (Electric Boogaloo!) and other stuff.

My grandfather taught me a valuable lesson when I was a kid this is back when black and white TVs sere common and cable didn't exist.

Fortune cookie.

Ok so when you folks get tired of me talking tell me. I can rattle off at the mouth or fingers as it were but I did have to share some stuff today.

Update to the situation this past week.

Ok here is an update on the work situation that happened to me this last week.

Very upset (crying in the car) but not sure if I should be.

Ok, folks I need your help and opinions on something that happened at work. I need to know if I am being overly sensitive because of my gender issues or do I have a valid complaint.

Of Bots and Chat Requests

Hi, everyone, it's Bobbie C.

Been getting some Messenger List requests on my Yahoo Messenger (for chatting, et cetera) but the addresses look suspiciously like bot addresses.  Can I make a request? If you wanna chat, please send a personal message here at BCTS, so I know your YM request is legit?

So if I should deny your Add Request, please don't take offense - it's because I don't recognize the address.

Eek! Job hunt coming up. Scary.

Ok I blogged about my job situation and the challenges I have faced there last week. Things just keep going downhill and my employer does seem to want to get rid of all the old hands.

Launch day has come and gone, and I survived.

Launch day is over. No horrible drama it was stressful but not nearly as much as last year with the 4s. Probably because all those folks that got the 4s are still in a contract.

The crazy will start tomorrow.

Ok folks the new Fruit Phone comes out tomorrow which means bell to bell days for us retail monkeys. So on behalf of all retail electronic employees everywhere, please be patient.

A weird thing happened at the store yesterday O.o

A little back ground on me first, those of you that read my blog regularly know I am about 5'8" and about 230 pounds. I am working on the weight thing.

Return of the ...

Well, hopefully. I've been working lots most of the Summer, and what time not at work I've been too tired to do anything even with friends... let alone write.

Time to bitch about RL and day(ugh)job. Ignore if you want.

I know employment is a precious thing and I am lucky to even have a job in these trying times (not going in to politics here). In the last six months my employer seems to be doing their best to get rid of me.

Now get your minds outta the gutter!!! Those who can't need some serious self analysis. Others I'll let slide. I know who both of You are!(Giggles)

As some here know I'd been outta work for waaaaaaaaaaay too long. I'm happy to report that that's no longer the case.;) Though my mortgage company is undoubtedly elated, I miss all of you and your stories terribly! My comments and PMs are gonna be sparse for a time, but I've got a new puter to keep me in touch and upgrade my employment status.;) I'll talk to all of you when I can.

Big HUGS,
Lotsa Love,

A little venting about the job hunt...

So I graduated with my M.S.W. in December. Now going on eight months of the job hunt. I guess I'm in a better position then some. At least where I live there are jobs to apply for. It's just frustrating sometimes. Was in the final running for a job I would have loved. Came down to three of us, but the department manager ended up going with someone who had just a bit more direct service experience then I do. Now I'm back at square one putting my resume in, and trying to keep building contacts. Doesn't matter how high your degree is.

jobinterview

Wednesday I have a 2h jobinterview at the same employer but a different departement. Not my favorite job (accounting) but I can't really chose a job. It's only an internship at the moment but it would nullify the verdict of the retireent commission if I would get the job and there's a chance to get get it after the internship

Also applying for another job that is closer to y intrest although it's also partially accounting (account manager for subsidising sports).

047) A Parting of Ways

Well. I suddenly find myself with tons of time on my hands. Part of me wants to be a total ass and try to go after them for harrassment, but... well, that part of me never really has been all that powerful. And honestly... They're being a lot nicer about it than they could be. A whole heckuva lot nicer than the last job to fire me.

Sorry for the restarts last night...

For those of you that have been heavy on the site last night and this morning, may have notice an inordinately large amount of what I'll call "Small/Micro Outages". I've been working on tweaking the server all night hoping to reduce the load and fix a few small recurring errors. I did sleep for a couple hours, but basically since about midnight last night I've been "fixing, testing, restarting" in what felt like an endless cycle.

1302

It's july the 11th, Flanders national holiday (not to be mixed up with july 21st, the belgian national holiday). Still 2,5 weeks to go to my b-day.

>sigh< Still waiting on the official letter from the Retirement Commission and people getting back to me about what the amount would be for my pension.

Thinking about taking aleave of absence from the guild I'm adjunct guild leader of (not the best of time with a big game update comming up) due to not having my head straight (the drama in the last week doesn't help either).

I need some time off

I'm stressed out by things that have happened back stage this past week. I need some time off and Piper's real life is kind of nightmarish lately so I hate to dump any more responsibility on her. My other assistants are really not experienced enough to do what I do here.

I'm going to be gone to the San Diego Comicon from Wednesday the 11th to Sunday the 15th. I'm thinking of shutting the site down while I'm gone or maybe just Thursday to Saturday since I'll be able to work on it Wednesday and Sunday. But really, the place would have burned down if I had been gone three days this weekend.

Marital Equity

Conservative Right get something correct, for once.

Suze Orman Is a economic expert from Chicago and one of her expertises is women and their money.

Suze Orman show today on CNBC News channel, had a long feature on the Money worries of gay and to a lesser extent "other" marriages. I think if you are going to have a life partner type of relationship or have one, you need to see this...

(Maybe some thing for USA only but good advice for most)

Rien ni vas plus

Some of the peepz here know this already. I have been having problems at work for a few years now. For one due to the fact that they don't want to admit that there's a problem.

So one of the last steps in this drama happened tuesday when I got called before the retirement commission. Due to the fact that there isn't a dossier against my direct supervisor I'll be retired in a maximum of 3 months (so before october and this only if the main office doesn't decide to retire my as of next month against advice of the commission).

Some folks here know that it's my birthday today (or rather, tomorrow if you're back home since Manila is like twelve hours ahead).  Yep, thirty-one years on the planet.  Happy-sad actually, coz I currently have some problems, but that is something I have to work out for myself, and I won't lay my troubles on you, dear blog-reader.  I think I'll stick to the happy part of the happy-sad equation.
