Since the upgrade, up to now, I have been able to post neither comments nor blogs.

I blogged about that earlier, when I went on a different machine in a different location, with a different Operating System and a different browser. After trying on nine diiffering combinations of OS and browsers on my own machine.

From that earlier blog, I received a couple of comments and also several messages.

I got angry with the content of some of those messages.

Which part of "able to post neither comments nor blogs" was not understandable? The process was that I would spend several minutes typing something in, previewing it and then get to the moment to post it by pressing 'Save' and the system would only then tell me there was an error. Minutes and minutes of work taken in by the system only to be rejected at the last second.

So, having been in touch with Erin and Piper at every stage of the way, I can happily announce that they investigated and indeed found an incompatibility which is now fixed. An original diagnosis of it being a cache problem that would eventually go away, was not, as it turned out, the actuality of the problem. The problem, apparently, lay in the interfacing of Drupal with some outside software.

Super congratulations to them. For both finding it and then for fixing it.

So, I am about to try to post this blog and I shall cross my fingers.

Thank you all of those who understood my frustrations.

I had a major rant to Erin and Piper and felt a lot better after that, and today, for the first time I had a comment posted.
Erin and Piper deserve our respects, and I hereby publicly apologise if I upset either of them.

So I have hopes for this blog.

Let's see what happens when I press 'Save' this time.

And it worked!

I still get

'This page can't be displayed,' too often and I've lost my favourite dormouse picture but have regained access to 'my stories,' so I'll cope with the changes.

Glad you're feeling happier.
