I get more angry every day about this animal. He uses crocodile tears, the loss of his feet as a small child, black ties, wrenching in court and any trick he can to seek sympathy.
He had a gun, not just a weapon of self defense but a weapon of mass destruction, he had a motif since she clearly had argued with him, knowledge of the bedroom/bathroom layout, a bad temper, an arrogance, a jealousy, previous record of anger displays, shooting guns, scaring girlfriends and no witnesses.
In his favor he could have been dreaming he was In the gunfight at OK coral and had chased the bad guys down an alley before finding they had hid behind a door. He decided to shoot around them to leave their impression on the door like a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
How this judge can possibly listen time and again to excuses about his disability and his sad life of success and wealth I don't know.
He did it, he did it we all know he did it. Why waste money and time and effort dressing up this case since he didn't do it on purpose and he should be forgiven. Never mind the poor girl or her family and friends or their feelings because they are foreigners. All foreigners trying to make out he killed her. He didn't it was the rain of bullets that did it. He just fired the gun.
Imagine if a large dog had killed her. It wouldn't have meant it and it would just be a natural reaction to attack. The dog would have been put down immediately.
I had a Christian upbringing but sometimes I despair at fellow human beings who can't admit their failings and be honest enough to admit that he lost his temper, followed her gun in hand and killed her in cold blood.
He may have his gun taken away for a few weeks as punishment and be told to go to bed early without supper.
One day he will face the real judge. Then he has to tell the truth and answer for his sins.

I was shocked...

That his legal team is asking for Community Service after his conviction for Culpable Murder. Which I think in American legal terms would be Voluntary Manslaughter? (I'm not a lawyer) And according to the BBC story I read, this argument is going well at this point.

I suspect

the prosecution was right all along even if they blew the evidence. It seems he got away with murder. I suspect he genuinely regrets it, it was probably done in a fit of pique and now he wishes he hadn't done it. However, I feel he should go to prison.

That someday I will understand what gets something unpubbed from the front page. But it ain't today.

Six Shots??

And "I didn't know what I was doing." C'mon! If he had fired one shot because he thought it was an intruder I might be able to believe it. He's already got away with murder,
