So there I am, working through a twelve hour night shift which is actually thirteen hours due to the end of Summer Time, and I get bored enough to stick my name into that search engine and see if anyone else has said anything about my books. They have.

Specifically, about 'Viewpoints' and 'Cider Without Roses'. What they have said, via Wordpress, is "Don't bother giving her any money, just download this pdf we've made"

I will give Wordpress full credit, for both accounts have been suspended on what appears to be breaches of their rules re stealing copyrighted work. Thank you, WP. I should, I suppose, feel flattered that someone has gone to the trouble of setting up accounts just to pirate my work, and in a way I do, but the bottom line is that I feel robbed. I would dearly love to meet these people. I can still punch very, very hard.

Would you like to find out exactly how hard it can be?

Thanks for the info....

This is a little worrying, if it is so easy to steal copyrighted stuff and create .pdfs of it. Well discovered, by the way, and you may count on me for any backup punching!

All the best

Of any kind winds me up something rotten. Even if it doesn't seem to be for profit, but just because they can.
I'd hold yer coat.

Normally I would say, everyone has the right to make their own money, even in deceptive ways as long as nobody is being harmed.

In this case, however, you as the author is being harmed. So allow me to join the others in being your second punchers. For now though, I'll be contributing to the cause by offering a curse consisting of harsh language and something to do with their mom and pop..

Back up

I have Stewie McDuff, Kirsty Armstrong and John Forster on their way. Roland Laplace is testing his baton, and Ginny.... Kate is looking desperately for the restraints. You wouldn't like Ginny when she's angry.

Steve and Tony are warming up their bikes. Steph is just Smiling.

In this world little is free and downloading files from unsecure sources is a good way to get a virus or be hacked. Aware of this, it isn't saintliness but common sense which leads us to get our material from secure charging sites which work out cheaper in the long run.

I love Sussex Border Stories by S A A Calvert and I highly recommend downloading them from Amazon who even freely update your edition of if edits are made or extras appended.

It is disgusting

The fact that someone would do that to you or any other author is disgusting. And then for them to be not only blatant and ignorant, but have the arrogance...this is what they mean when piracy hurts us all. People like this steal mp3's, movies and software as well as written works.
When piracy like that happens, I discourages people, and companies, frome creating an publishing. But don't worry, karma will get them eventually....
