An interesting article about Tiwonge Chimbalanga a transgender woman from Malawi who now lives in exile in S.Africa.

Those of us in the west don't know how lucky we are.

It is difficult,

ChrisP's picture

I assure you, to live in a country where young men are forcibly abducted for "circumcision camps", and where witchcraft and ancestor-worship combine in an unholy mélange of evangelical christianity and muslim fundamentalism.

As H. G. Wells once said: "Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe."

It is, I fear, a race we are losing.

Love and peace,

Chris.
