As those of you who engage in the Great Waste Of Time known as Facebook may already be aware, today marks my completion of another lap around the sun - not that I feel any different to yesterday or appreciably older. Just an ordinary day at work attempting to make sense of a pile of social care data, hoping to massage it into shape by the end of the week ready for the annual government return.

Inspired by Debbie's earlier post, when I was being born the UK was rocking to Rod Stewart, the US to Stevie Wonder, Canada to Glen Campbell, Australia to Julie Covington and Germany to Smokie - a rather eclectic mix of artists!

Here's a congrats from me.

Congrats on completing another lap. Remember, the race is not necessarily to the swiftest, so take your time. Enjoy every step of the way and have a happy LATS. (Lap Around The Sun)

Glen Campbell

Courtesy of Wiki:

Glen Travis Campbell (born April 22, 1936) is an American country music singer, guitarist, television host, and occasional actor. He is best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a variety show called The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television.

During his 50 years in show business, Campbell has released more than 70 albums. He has sold 45 million records and accumulated 12 RIAA Gold albums, 4 Platinum albums and 1 Double-Platinum album. He has placed a total of 80 different songs on either the Billboard Country Chart, Billboard Hot 100, and/or the Adult Contemporary Chart, of which 29 made the Top 10 and of which nine reached number one on at least one of those charts.

So evidently Canadians quite liked US Country Music back in 1977...

I hope you had a happy orbit

I think Beethoven was still doing keyboards when I was found under a gooseberry bush!
