Well, its TG day of remembrance today.

So if you cant go to a service, take a moment and think about those we have lost this year. The murdered, and those who took their own life because they saw no hope.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of us today.

Going to TDoR observance tomorrow

Our local LGBT center is having a TDoR observance tomorrow night.

I'm supposed to be working, but I've been spending time here and there looking at the (inevitably very incomplete) lists of those we've lost. Advocate.com has a few articles today, and some blogs as well (freethoughtblogs.com/entequilaesverdad is one.) And assignedmale.tumblr.com has a thoughtful post today.

It's sad, but on the other hand, the fact that there is a TDoR, and that more and more people are supporting it and us, is IMHO a (guardedly) hopeful sign. Back when I was young, "out of sight, out of mind" was the principal for pretty much the entire LGBT spectrum and things like "conversion therapy" were considered enlightened.

Dorothy: I know you've struggled hard for a long time, so I wish you peace and contentment on this TDoR and, while I'm at it, for the whole holiday season. (Maybe when I get my super powers, I'll be able to wish you peace and contentment for more time :-) )
