Transphobic bias

I'm guessing that by "transgender males" they actually mean trans women but don't actually believe that people can really be transgender.

It's worth keeping in mind that the Breitbart News Network (who the website you linked to got its story from) is known for its right-wing bias, like Fox News, so I would be a little skeptical of the "facts" they report. No doubt they scoured their files for pictures of the most "mannish" looking women they could find to give the story the right spin.

There may be another reason for this...

a number of women have show up with genetic abnormalities that make it difficult to prove they were naturally born women. This would provide cover for these athletes.

I can see the rightness of this but why does my mind turn to a certain Eastern Block country . I have a vision of Dolph Lundgren size men with female uniform putting the shot and throwing javeline's and don't even think about the winter Olympics .
