Hi all,

my daughter is about to sprog - we believe that the little joyous bundle shall be pink-coloured. So I am likely to be a grandparent in the next couple of weeks.

Which means I shall make a mad dash in the car from Switzerland to the UK soon.
And deal with the little one when I get there.

I have been trying to get the next couple of Julina episodes up and posted, but I am having a little difficulty concentrating on them at the moment.

I tend to provide about 8 or 9 thousand words per episiode, and I have 7 thousand (ish) of each of the next two already penned. Normally at this point I am thinking another three or four episodes ahead, and I then build in the early signs or the early bases for what is coming up. And this means that I have to do a lot of re-reading of the past dozen or so episodes to make sure the continuity works.

Which, as you will readily understand, means that the last couple of thousand words (which may not necessarily be the end of the episode!!!!) probably take as long as all the rest. I actually have passages already done for episodes that might be another thirty or so in the future, so I have to read all that guff too before I finally polish each episode.

And with half my brain concentrating on my DD and her forthcoming labour, I do not feel that I am giving my usual close concentration to the task at hand.

I will try tomorrow to pull all the threads together, but I beg forgiveness if it has to slip a little longer.

All the best

Julia

This is a happy occasion,

This is a happy occasion, your energies should be focused on your family and the little one about to make a grand debut than on anything else. Writing can wait, family can't especially a little one who will want their grandparent's attention :)

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

If it's not premature
