Who is Barbie Lee Jessica Rabbit?

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)

Surely you can make room for

Surely you can make room for Maiha from Jessie Wolf's Death Dealer Saga, she's about as badass as you can get :)

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

You are definitely right Maiha is awesome. (Pout) tx for a three way tie.

What about

How about Felicia ("Captain Felicia Belphere Metrune that pretty lady that will make your mothers weep" aka "Felicia the destroyer of fleets")?

How about Tink (she skinned and made a dress from the skin of one of her "mouse minions" who ran when Tink was attacked by a pair of cats! The battle ended with one cat dead(???) and Tink riding on the back of the second cat as she broke through the ceiling and terrorized the store owner)?

How about Petra (demon valley school for Villains - On the first day of school she beat up one boy and killed a second boy. On the second day of school she beat a third boy with a tray during breakfast. On the third day she is rumored to have hit a boy from a nearby school for heroes on the head, stripped him, tied him up, and left him naked "at the alter")

What about that really bizarre serial on badasses of the multiverse? There were dozens of action heros in that one!

Although, I would have to say that Mahia is the best action character on BC (when she took over as the head of a clan, her first act was to draw the sword of the leader of her troops and behead him during her installation ceremony! - She used weapons of mass destruction on four (4) planets. - she has a nuclear fusion plant for a heart - she is called "Death's Own Daughter"!).

hmm

I get your point Josette.I also like all those characters. When I was thinking about action heroines I asked myself who was the most badass closest to real life character and Lyssa and Jessica came immediately to mind. Have to admit Felicia is really cute and has me almost ... my underwear. There are tons of heroines on bc but who comes first to your mind when you think action?

Re: hmm one (1) of three (3)

Too many (inadequately defined) variables???

"Badass closest to real life"

"Cute"

"Comes first to mind when you think of action"

I enjoy reading Lyssa's chronicles, but her character is way to unrealistic to be considered "real life". The author's other serial "Frills" has more "realistic" characters, but they are placed in an "ideal world" that is enjoyable to read about but is just too good to be "real". I liked Frills much better than the Lyssa chronicles.
Jessica was an enjoyable read, but the premise and the character (while enjoyable) just doesn't even come close to "real life". There was another Jessica Rabbit story that had a "believable" character. In this story, the "hero" took a short term job in a halloween costume store (where the employees dressed up in costumes at work). The (male) teenage hero ended up as a passable Jessica Rabbit, had his (her) picture taken by the local newspaper, became popular and had an enjoyable halloween. Absolutely no action, but totally believable characters and story - totally "real world".

Re: hmm three (3) of three (3)

When you say "comes first to your mind when you think action", what do you mean by "action"?

When I think of slapstick ( "three stooges"/"mask"/"the blues brothers"), Tink would be the first story I would try to find. When I think of combat, I would try to find the next story of Knights of Death ("Maiha"). When I think of Civilization (computer game) I would look for the latest chapter of Somewhere a Else Entirely ("Garia").

Maybe a better question would be:
"When you open Big Closet, what is the first story you look for?"

Re: Hmm two (2) of three (3)

In my opinion, there are two characters that meets your first variable Maiha and Garia. Both seem believable because they are set in a science fiction universe. Given the universe they are dropped into ( both were "literally" dropped into a situation where they found themselves in a new (sex) body and facing "great challenges"), they seem to be "real life" (if you keep them contained in their science fiction world). Both characters (Death's own Daughter" and "Somewhere Else Entirely") face their challenges head on (in a believable manner). Both are "Action Heros".

Felicia, Tink (BC Whatley "causer of carnage") and Petra (Doom Valley School for Villains) are really, really, adorable ("cute") characters. All three are "badass". Totally "unrealistic", but so enjoyable. Watching Tink vs. Sugar is better than watching a Super Bowl!

Action

I agree with all the heroines mentioned so far and I think Maiha probably takes the lead, although Lyssa is right in there.

But, there are other heroines here but their authors have not been seen here for a long while.

I would include Ashai from the LEGACY OF THE ANARI by Ashleigh Blayze who falls in the category with Maiha as an artificially enhanced human. Unfortunately this story leaves us hanging after book 1 with a good but open ending.

Also there are a couple of characters from SaraUK that also could fall into this category; first is Nicole from Lipstick and Lead and the second is Alexis from Project Guardian. Neither are as prolific as Lyssa or Maiha, but still good reads.

Homonyms, synonyms, heterographs, contractions, slang, colloquialisms, clichés, spoonerisms, and plain old misspellings are the bane of writers, but the art and magic of the story is in the telling not in the spelling.

Seriously kewl analytical dissection josette (now I know how a lab frog feels pout). I guess you're kinda right I'm a bit of a flittertijibbet. Maybe I should change the title around and ask which action character impacts on you the most. Basically if you could wake up tomorrow and be any of bc action heroines , who would you want to be.

Thanks jeri

Grover, Lillith and Zapper also have some good heroines. I loved Grover once a hero basically his version of Zoom
