I am finding new inspiration every day because of this site.

I saw a Sarah Carerra blog post and after reading the comments decided to check out the story. I am loving every installment, but about halfway through book 1 I was so touched by these words. It is such a defining sentiment for anyone who has lost themselves only to discover who they really are.

I see singing as a metaphor for self-awareness.

"It felt so good to be singing again. It felt so good to finally let other people hear my voice and not be ashamed by it"

How often do people hide in the shadows because of fear or shame or lack of tolerance?

Thank you, Megan Campbell, for the beauty of those words.

Aww

One of the things that I like most about writing is trying to give people a chance to experience new things that they might not otherwise come across. That is the same reason that I like to read other stories and books.

I remember when writing that scene how much it meant to Sarah. The opportunity to share something that she had hidden for so long (her voice) is one of the driving forces behind Sarah, in my mind. To have that come across in the story makes me really happy, and I'm glad that her story can have this kind of impact on readers.

Thank you for sharing this, and I hope you and everyone else can find their own voices and sing both here on the site and in the larger world around us.
