The Gentlemen's Bar, universe rules
by: Set3

This is a set of guidelines for anyone who'd like to write their own Gentlemen's Bar story.

The bar:
-The Gentlemen's Bar itself is a very classy decorated large sized bar while still being inviting to all walks of life in the populace. Typical rules of normal bars are followed, like not serving alcohol to the legally under aged, that type of thing. In most respects, it's just like any other bar with the exception of how rule breakers are treated. If some one, for example, is being racist to another patron, they get one warning (with exceptions to possible unavoidable threats to the well-being of others, IE: "The Gentlemen's Bar: Sleepless") to stop their actions before the bouncer "deals" with them.

About the bouncer:
-His abilities were given to him by the owner of the bar to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. The bouncer is a lean-looking man of an apparent age of 28 years, Caucasian and dark short hair. The original styled 1960's Oldsmobile car he drives would suggest an older age. He is always seen wearing a suit that looks like a mix of a tux and business suit. While he doesn't have omnipotence as most would believe, he is quick to arrive before trouble starts to get out of hand in the bar. While he doesn't like punishing transgressors to the rules in a terrible way, he does so because of a long ago placed sense of duty instilled in him. He maintains a slime magical connection to those he has punished which alert him when they are about to enter mortal danger. By unknown means (possible teleportation) he tries to save them. Everyone he fails to save weighs heavily on him and is most noticeable on his features when some one brings inquires on the subject. No one knows his real name.

About the transformations:
-The style of transformations are related to the manor of how the person broke the rules. IE: if a person was verbally abusive to some one, then the bouncer talks about how the offender is going to look like (often without their physically realising it). If a person was be physical with some one, then they would, in turn, be physically transformed, the severity of which would depend on how violent they were. The transformations cannot be changed back by magical means but a transformed person is still able to change their body through normal means. IE: a person was given giant breasts could get breast reduction surgery to reduce their size.

About the punishment:
-After the initial transformation, the bouncer would alter reality through magic to put the offender in a situation they tried to inflict on their victim. IE: a person who was calling a woman a whore while trying to elicit sex from her would find themselves now living as a "whore", their original selves being erased from the world. While it is never said to the offender initially, the offender can try to improve their new life although, admittingly, being exceedingly hard to do. The bouncer never changes the transformed person's personality, but will give them new skills or memories if he feels they need them based on their situation. It is up to the offender to determine how they live their new life.

Additional notes:
-The bouncer's abilities are treated as a "public secret". Everyone who frequents the bar knows what happens if they break the rules and would generally let it go unsaid except to warn newcomers.
-While it is the bouncer's primary duty to use his abilities to punish those who break the rules, he has no aversion to helping those who would seek him out and ask him for help. IE: "The Gentlemen's Bar: Freedom"

That's all I can currently think of, if there are any questions, then by all means ask them and I'll add to the guidelines for this series. I only ask that if anyone wants to write a story based on "The Gentlemen's Bar" series then please contact me first because I'd like to read it. (I had originally written something about "officialising" but that made me sound full of it.)

Comments

he does it voluntarily

He is only responsible for what goes on in the bar but keeps an eye on those he has punished. He doesn't have to save them from mortal danger but does so because he wants to. That's not to say he can save everyone. If two different people are in danger of dying at the same time then he would have to make a choice of which to save. And like I said, everyone he fails to save from dying does tear him up inside.

He does keep a rather calm demeaner.

And it's not likely that you're ever going to see him shout out: "Oh my God! I couldn't save that person in time!".

There have been more subtle moments where in "Risks of a Punishment" that he takes a moment before answering Chad when he asked him if he was always able to save someone. And in "Freedom" his demeaner noticably brightens when Robyn tells him that she likes her transformation.

Revenge?

Does anyone transformed or punished try to seek revenge on the Bouncer?

If one person is magical, other persons might be as well. So who's to say that the transformee might not be transformed again, to someone close enough to his original form?
