Folks, I ask for your prayers or whatever your belief system uses.

I plan on introducing my 3 sons to the type of counseling I'll be receiving. The little angels would may totally wig on me - or rip the wig off! They're loving kids, I've been the nurturing one all their lives. Please Oh Please remember me between now and Saturday afternoon!

With fear and trembling,
Beth

Oh my ....

Absolutely, I will pray for you. Remember ... head up, shoulders back, and tears are allowed. Please be brave, at least on the outside, and always remember we are here for you.

Blessings and love,

recommended book reading

I suggest you and them read the book true selves. It describes this situation well and other future things that may come up with ideas on how to handle them. Prayers can also work.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.

Love Will Out

I think if you make a point to express the love you have for your children, and acknowledge how difficult this will be for them, before you explain how much pain you are in, it might help things along. I'm sure your sons have love and compassion for you, too. You'll need to talk this out with them, though. They're sure to have reservations, concerns and outright worries about themselves. You're going to have to not only acknowledge, but accept those. This can't be an adversarial proceeding.

Love is the only answer.

There is no Quaker dogma, per se. But, in our tradition of Equality, we believe that the Light of goodness/God/spirituality/Love (pick one or more, or call it what you will) lives in every person, there to be held, tapped, understood and to provide guidance if we listen actively for it in the spirit of love. When we endeavor to pray for others, we say, "I will hold you in the Light."

I will hold you in the Light.

Of course!

And *hugs!* to you as well! Breathe, and keep how much you love them in the forefront of your thoughts, and the emotion will probably be conveyed through.

Is there a wife involved?

My children were all raised to be fundamentalistic Christians, and I raised them that way. The youngest was 18 when she found out. It did not go well, has not gone well, and may never go well.

I hope that your children are young. I have heard before that children accept this pretty well befor puberty.

You are in my Prayers.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
