Last night, I had a odd dream.

I had gotten a job as a security guard, and someone i knew from my real life job gave me a lift to a bus stop.

The bus turned out to not stop there, but I figured I could walk to somewhere where I could make a connection.

I then found myself cutting through a small shopping center, and my daughter appeared, and I had to cut her looking around short in order to try and catch a bus.

We stopped on the street, and we started going forward without moving our feet, and at first i thought we were on some kind of open air bus, but then I realized the sidewalk was moving, and it was headed underground.

At first, I wasn't worried about that, since we have a light rail transit system under the city, and I thought this moving sidewalk was headed there.

Then, I saw some dirt being dumped on the sidewalk ahead of me, and realized it was some kind of construction site, and took my daughter and jumped off before we were buried under dirt.

I then woke up.

Weird, huh?

Dreams are weird

I had a dream about a year or two ago that I still remember because it was kind of strange...

I came down the stairs and my grandmother---who's been dead for about six years or so---was sitting at my kitchen table and asked me how to peel an orange. I have no idea what it means but it was kind of freaky. But some times dreams are like that. For a few days afterwards I went around and asked everyone what they thought it meant. No one seemed to know but everyone agreed it was kind of strange.

Hmmm! Tell me, have you been

Hmmm! Tell me, have you been following the story about the Chilean miners being rescued from the collapsed mine?

Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue

my emotions during this dream

one thing I really noticed was my emotions during this dream. I never panicked, never lost my temper, and even when our lives were in danger, I never got scared.

I'll take a shot at this...

...having your daughter may indicate acceptance. The moving sidewalk may mean you feel compelled to go somewhere not of your choosing or you're feeling swept away, and the dirt seems to indicate a burial of some sort; maybe your old self or your dreams for your new self or you may just feel overwhelmed and buried by circumstances. I'm not a doctor, I only portray one in stories...
