got hurt last night at work

Well, I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, as I managed to hurt myself at work last night. At about 530, I pulled my groin muscle, and after trying to keep going for a few minutes, realized I was in far too much pain, and called out for help. The irony of hurting in the part of my anatomy I most wish didn't exist is not lost on me, but such is life. The good news is, I have a couple of days off to rest, and hope for a recovery. Pray for me, if you are so inclined.

Not just me then.

You'll know what I mean, if you've read my recent blogposts. :)
Anyway, yes, it is ironic, but also of concern. When I'm not using the term "future labia/vagina", I will most likely say "salvage pile". As much as we would rather not have what we're referring to, it's in our interests to look after them. They are the components with which our future womanhood will be constructed, after all...
Rest well Dotty, and I hope for the continued good health of your salvage components, and your whole being in general. = )

Do y'all mean "donor tissue?

Do y'all mean "donor tissue? (giggle, snort, chortle.) You do want to keep that groin muscle in good shape though, for the future. And heavy lifting. Make sure you lift properly for a woman and you can't go far wrong. Instead of "putting your back into it"), lift with the legs and use the upper body to stabilize. Kegle exercise help.

Fork lift?

It's much easier to use a fork lift, I hope that's what you call it over there!

If not this could be embarrassing.

Getting hurt at work always sucks!

Pulling a groin muscle is as painful as it gets when it comes to muscle pulls! Anyway, here's hoping you have a speedy recovery!

Okay, since you asked, I'll say a prayer or two for you, but coming from me, I don't know if it will do you any good! Giggle, giggle...It seems the Man upstairs loves to make me suffer! LOL...

I've pulled muscles on the job when I was working and I agree IT HURTS!. Take the muscle relaxers and pain meds, they work wonders.

Getting hurt hurts!

But If I read the poor dear, it's also the feelings of having her body not yet match up with her heart. And only just starting on the job so recently, too, must make you feel very bad. Of course, we'll pray, girl. Anne

Ow...

From WebMD:

Happily, a groin pull will usually heal on its own. You just need to give it some time and rest. To speed the healing, you can:

Ice the inside of your thigh to reduce pain and swelling. Experts recommend doing it for 20-30 minutes every three to four hours for two to three days, or until the pain is gone.

Compress your thigh using an elastic bandage or tape.

Take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like Advil, Aleve, or Motrin, will help with pain and swelling. However, these drugs can have side effects. So they should be used only occasionally, unless your doctor specifically say?

Like the old acronym, Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate. I would bet the farm that you're such a hard worker and you wanted to please so bad? Hopefully an easier time when you return.

Muscle relaxers? They pay for that in Canada? Gotta get a scrip first, right?
