Well, as if losing my girlfriend wasnt bad enough, last night, I managed to lose my wallet. I wish I could figure out how to stop sabotaging myself. I have a hard enough road ahead of me without making things harder for myself.

Sympathy and do the necessary

RAMI

My sympathies. That being said, do the required.

Call all credit card companies and report loss.
Call the three credit reporting cmpanies and report loss.
Call bank and cancel or place review on all checks.
Go to DMV get new license and report stolen one.
Call Social security and report loss.
If any other ID's -school, work, medical do the same.
If you have not done it yet, do it now or first thing in the A.M.

Don't let this get you down.

Self sabatoge is all to

Self sabatoge is all too common during transition, especially around the beginning, and if you feel guilty about some part or all of it. However, losing your wallet doesn't count. Anyone can do that, so it is just one of the things that happens in life. Just do what you have to do and get your DL and stuff, and put that behind you (if it is not turned in). I lost my wallet once, had my pocket picked once, and had it stolen from my pocket on the ship I was on while in the Navy, and I slept a few feet away. It's just part of the term "shit happens", and not your fault. You do have a tendency to blame yourself for all the things that happen to you, and you need to STOP DOING THAT!! OK?

Be well.

Own worst enemy

When I was struggling to decide should I appease others or be myself I lost things that were important as well as money I could not afford to lose.
My other disadvantage was PTSD and not being medicated. In my anger I would attack myself. I was so hell bent on dying I failed three times and anger was my detriment. I destroyed personal property that belonged to me.(12 play station two's. ome laptop computer and several sets of dishes and many glasses. I once kicked a car in my anger it was deemed undriveable when I finally calmed down).
I still lose my car keys and sometimes I can't find my purse. I get flusterered but due to medication I can rationalize it out and not get upset.
When you come to be calm it may dawn on you where you left it. As God to help you find it, I do and within a few minutes I find the item I could not see, then I thank God for helping me

It seems to me that you are seriously stressed girl.

As already advised report all the missing information that you can remember but FIRST SIT BACK, have a good think, then have another damned good search if you might just have mislaid it. This can happen especially if you are stressed ... and lady; you sound stressed!.

Then try and trace back your steps and check any places you can remember having been to. Believe me, not everybody is a thief. Sometimes a wallet might even be handed in. It can happen. I don't know how it goes over there but here in the UK sometimes lost wallets and stuff get handed into the police. It's always worth checking first, then cancel the cards and stuff.

Finally sorry to hear of your loss. It's a bloody menace getting cards renewed. In the UK it takes five working days to get a replacement so one is perforce to resort to cash and that's a bind.

Good luck kid.

Hugs.

First thing -

stop beating yourself up - you might get to like it.

We all make mistakes especially when under stress, organise yourself and stick to those systems. It's a bit mechanical but it helps when things get busy - you don't have to think.

Keep valuables in a safe place and don't carry them if you don't need to. Never put your handbag down just anywhere, keep it in view at all times or locked away safely.

Good luck.

Negative thinking

If you change your patterns of think to positive ones you may find things are changing.
