I wanted to talk for a moment about my last story, "Justice?" When I started with the idea, I planned to make it two stories - "The Defense" and "The Prosecution" Basically, first we would see her grief at the rape and death of her sister, and her need for some kind of justice. Then we would see the other side - the insanity of trying to take the law into her own hands, and the horror of the method she used to try and punish them. But the story took on a life of its own, and I was left with her awaking to her own guilt, and making the choice to seek the punishment of the law for her actions. Stan mentioned the possibility of a sequel, but we will have to see. Thanks to those who have commented.

Execution

I don't see the point of a sequel. What to you want to write about? Insanity justifying itself? But then she doesn't want to justify herself. She's probably realized her mistake and doesn't want to add to it by killing herself.
She's had her revenge, but then revenge only leaves dust behind. She probably only wants to end everything.

The trial would be an exectution protocol and writing about years in a psych ward? I don't know...

It was a very good story as it was. The only thing we don't know is the sentence, and that'll be more injustice anyway. Putting her into prison or pych ward would probably cause her to commit suicide and everything else is either too hard or too soft.

Thank you for writing,

sequel

The only kind of sequel that would appeal to me would be her looking for, and maybe finding, some kind of redemption. It goes against my nature to not have at least some hope in a story, but at the moment, I don't have any idea how to find it for her.

I can definitetly understand

I can definitetly understand you. I wouldn't want to write a story without hope either. In her case she'd probably go into psych ward for some years and then get out. But would that be justice, or just pussy pass?

Her acts are somewhat understandable on some level, but that doesn't change the horror. I wonder if she really is a she, or if her transition was nothing but a means to her revenge. She's sacrificed everything on the altar of revenge. Her humanity, her gender, every moral she might have had and her future.
This is a case to frighten away people from taking revenge.

I think the story is good as it is. The moral is pretty clear. An injustice won't become less by more injustice. Injustice creates injustice.

It would be awesome if you find some way to write a sequel that doesn't screw up this message, but I don't see how.

Thank you for writing about such an unpleasant theme.
