Just saying thank you for the kinds words regarding my previous stories. I thought I was done after the second installment of the Cedar Falls epic. Programmed and Reprogrammed interested many of you. Thank you for that. Presently I am working on a "tweener". A story crammed between the timeline of Programmed and Reprogrammed. I crossed the fifty thousand word line and am searching for another ten k for chapter six.

It has been awhile since I posted anything. For me I require something a bit different and hopefully with an interesting story. The vehicle in this one is shifting and dreaming as used primarily in the second story. We did shut down that gaping portal at the end of story one. Like those movie monsters who refuse to die our town needs an entrance of sorts. I expanded the roles of benevolent witches. I am quite tired of villains and violence these days it is quite overdone. Don't get me going on vampires that scene has more than worn out its welcome.

There are references to past characters with a couple having a part and voice in this episode. You do not need to read the prior ones to get this one. It helps to understand the back story but not essential. Our hero/heroine is of course reluctant. Who likes characters who determine they are saviors of the world? Yes, some will be able to predict the outcome as it is similar to parts one and two. I did not discover the ending until well over 40k words. Like in previous stories there is no graphic sexual encounters though hints of desire etc are under the surface in the character's minds.

If you enjoyed or marginally tolerated the prior efforts you may like this. I am guessing another week or so should produce a finished product. I have held to my belief that I owe you a complete story and wait until the effort is finished before posting a chapter. There is no guarantee that something radical will not happen preventing me from logging in to post the stories. In that event you can rest assured that somewhere the final chapter exist and my demise was complete surprise to me as presently there is nothing known to suggest the end is pending.
