What I'm doing...and request for assistance...

Printer-friendly version

Firstly, just to let everyone know what I'm up to.

Something that really annoys me (and I know it will annoy many of you) is to be reading an enjoyable story that is never finished.

I plead guilty to doing just that... too often for my own liking, so I apologise to all who desperately want me to finish several of my stories.

I make no excuses, as I just get carried away with too many new ideas.

I am making this Blog post for two reasons, one; to keep you updated and so you will know why I'm not posting any new material for a while,

and

Two; for me, to act as a sort of carrot/stick to force me to stick to my pledge....TO FINISH SOME STUFF!

I am writing the sequel to The Candy Cane Club. It is called DEAD END, and I want to finish the damn thing before the end of this month.

I am also trying to finish the Sequel to Whispers in the Mind.. it is called WHISPERS IN THE SOUL, and I hope to finish that in the next couple of weeks after DEAD END.

I also want to finish all my other stories that remain unfinished here, but these two are my priority. Once they are up and Published, I will post tasters of them on my website, and get on and try to round off all my unfinished stories.

Not including the ones that are unfinished here, I have too many unfinished stories lying around. On my PC, I have no less that forty-two stories at some stage of completion. It is completely daft, as I seem to start new ones each week, and let the old ones sit there.

Now, for the assistance bit.

I have recently been blessed by the help of kind individuals who have assisted in proof reading and editing, for which I am eternally grateful. I don't need any more help in that area, at the moment.

However but I am spending far too much time designing and creating my own book covers. I do enjoy it, but it is time consuming, and if I want to write, then this could be a task that I can outsource. The reason I do it is to keep costs down. I am at that stage whereby I have stopped working to write full time. I can just about afford not to work, but I need to publish at least one book every eight weeks to keep my head above water.

If you are creative and would like to try your hand at designing a book cover for me, please contact me. The more willing volunteers the merrier. I will give you a title and a rough synopsis so you have an idea as to what I want, and then be creative. Full credit will be given to any that I use on a published book, plus free books to the selected designer.

I have been plagued by so-called professional designers, who charge a bomb and don't, in my opinion, do that much better than some enthusiastic amateurs that I know. So, who's willing to give it a try?

Looking forward to seeing what can be done!

Tanya

Can't wait

Can't wait to see the finished stories and the new ones.

Since I can not draw a straight line even with a ruler and my free hand sketches are about a Pre-K 1 quality (I know my limitations) can not volunteer to help with covers.

Sorry, I am as good at art

as I am swimming backwards to the moon.

I do love your stories, however, and will continue to read them - EVEN IF I HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM ON KINDLE like I have done with 'Monique', 'In Plain Sight', 'Marine', 'Behind the enemy' and 'Queen of Hearts'.
