Quick question to you all: Should I post the first chapter of my DRU story now or should I wait until I have several chapters done first? The first chapter is already done and edited, ready to go. So, you all let me know what you will prefer and I will post as you will.

Question to you all

I say collect a few, that way you can develop the story and modify it before posting, if you need too.

Write a few...

...build up the proverbial head of steam, so if you temporarily run out of ideas or real life interrupts your time for writing, you've still got a chapter or two in hand.

As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

I agree!

Buildup a buffer! Life happens unexpectedly, as I've been learning!

Wren

depends

If you need the comments to help you figure out how the story really goes then post the first chapter.

Choose both, Ghod I'm wishy washy

A buffer is good but don't be afraid to change things after reader feed back. Sometimes that *outside* perspective is useful.

But as always in the end it IS your story.

just glad you post them.

A little both

Put in the first chapter, then save up the next 5 or 6, causing people to go crazy waiting for the next chapters. A little suspense isn't a bad thing. ;P

Evil AND fun?

The best kind of choice to make! ;P

I'm glad

At least I'm not the only evil minx here!

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Hi heather.

You have to know what I'm gonna say. You wrote it.....just gimme the da** story

Time Travel!

Simply travel forward in time, find out which you did, and how both the posting choice and the content were received, then decide from there!

...

...

Okay, so that probably doesn't help at all, but don't you wish you could do that some times?

I say.

If you are the type who can punch out a couple chapters a week reliably... then go ahead and post it chapter by chapter... but if you are the type who stresses over a blank page and wonders if they'll ever get the next chapter done... and takes weeks/months/years to put out a chapter... then writing ahead may relieve some of that stress and keep your readers from whining and complaining. I'm bad for that.

Dayna.

Buffer please! I'm sure it

Buffer please!
I'm sure it will be good, so I'm willing to wait a bit more for a more consistent reading experience.

What's the hurry?

Once published, you can't unpublish, but you may want to change things in the first episode as the story develops.

A good story is like a good wine. It improves with keeping.
