back online (sort of) and big news!

Printer-friendly version

Well, I'm back online, sort of. My brother put together an old computer for me to use, so I'm at least able to access most of what I used to. Unfortunately, Google docs is the one site that isnt working for me, so it will be a while before I have a new story ready, but ah, well.

Now for the big news!

I got a call from the gender doc's office, to go in and sign some forms saying yes I do want SRS, and now I have to go to my family doctor and get a physical and make a letter for the docs in Montreal who would be doing the surgery if all goes well.

So this is it. If my family doctor signs off on me, I go officially on the waiting list and the next step happens. If he says I'm not healthy enough for the surgery, my journey is over and this is as far as I go.

Your prayers are appreciated.

Dorothy, I hope

... everything goes according to plan. Try walking. If you can get up to an hour a day, I think you will see the weight come off.

Before you give up on fully

Before you give up on fully completing that journey, it may take a few more steps (and a few pounds) to complete it. But don't give up. Here's wishing you the best.

The only power worth having is that over your self.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

...

If my doctors told me I wasn't healthy enough for SRS, I would simply ask them what I need to do to get healthy enough. To have come that far only to give up would be unthinkable.

The text above has a peach background. I'm not as pretty as a peach, peaches are as pretty as me. ^_^
