Interesting Manga

Printer-friendly version

This is a very good manga dealing with being transvestite(possibly transgender ^^) and acceptance by family which I highly recommend reading.

It is available online here to read.

An additional one that I am reading is Hourou Musuko _ quite long and fun! This is a transgender one.

for a directory of these types of mangas, please look here gender bender manga.

I hope you enjoy!

Family Acceptance

MY life was a roller coaster, then I began to amass a surrogate family. People I could trust, talk to and let them know my real feelings. As for my birth family there will never be any acceptance no matter how I present the issues, closed minds are sealed shut. To my family I am the outcast, does it bother me not at all. I don't go west of the Mississippi and don't expect them to come east of the same river.
I've lost nothing by not communicating with my siblings, I've gained freedom and self assurance by leaving them alone and not including them into my life.
My daughter is accepting, she has an open mind.
I have six siblings who are alcoholics and drug addicts, I spent a year in the military doing drug busts, ergo I am considered the enemy. I spent twenty years in the Military and was told I was ruining my siblings lives. I actually paid my moms house payment for five years and was told by my siblings I never do anything to help.
So I remain In Delaware and vist people I know and trust but make it a resolution to never visit my siblings, I will not be attending their funerals, the expense it not worth the having to pretend I feel sorry for their death's.

Two states I avoid visiting Montana and Oregon not because I don't like those states but becasue my siblings reside in those two states.

I am not a knowledgable about Japanese culture

But they seem to love to use their Manga to address their unease or uncertainty of things that seem to fall out of their rigid cultural norms. Gender bending is certainly one and can sometime be in a very bizarre way. And second is their still lingering feeling of inferiority in being totally conquered by a foreign power - Godzilla movies and such. Of course we all know about the round eyes in all their characters in manga versus the reality of their less than wide open eyes which a significant number of Japanese try to change through plastic surgery.

It is just kinda interesting, is all.

Interesting Manga

The Japanese seem to prefer drawing girls wearing cheerleader style/length skirts, shots to show an upskirt in some way. Just look at their Sailor moon. Is it any wonder that they also do a brisk business in T.G. anime? Protection

I haven't visited that site in months, so my information may be obsolete. But if you're going to be reading stuff at MangaFox make sure your antivirus protection is up to date. I used to go there all the time, but then twice my computer got infected from viruses planted in the ads on the site - it tricks you into thinking you're updating the system, but it's malware. I don't blame MangaFox, just their ad provider did a sloppy job of screening, and that still might be the case.

Sorry,

but I find Japanese stuff just too weird to get my western brain around. I did try accessing the website to see if I was wrong and it messed up my computer as well. I think I'll stay clear of all things manga in future.
