It's an mmorpg virtual reality game that Feng experiences this through and for any mmorpg gamer, this is a real treat. ^^
ps: memorable line from volume 6 chapter 34 : "[System Notice: Ceremony failed!] (marriage of 2 pets) Prince sighs,"...It cant be helped that I've met gay guys. But even now, the pets are homo..."

actually not at all.
Since I am reading the light novels I am much further along in the story line than the manga adaptation, and I can say for a fact that it isn't at all like Ranma.
1/2 Prince is unique unto itself, which is admittedly rare these days, but true nonetheless in this particular case.

I've been reading 1/2 prince for probablly six years now. Great manga, i just wish it was released faster. 1 chapter every 4-6 months makes you loose interest fairly quick.

to be honest i have something simular in the works right now, inspired from a new anime called "Sword Art Online"
It's actually adapted from chinese light novels.

Personally, I prefer the light novels.
