50,000 Words

Well I took a look at my current word count on the third story in the Ragnarok Rising Trilogy 'Destiny' today and I realized something. I have over 50,000 words which makes it my longest tg story yet. Hunger pangs is somewhere around, 38,000 words, Incompatible is around 27,000 words and the revised version of Transfigured is about 16,000 words.

I've written longer stories (Well none that you folks have seen), but this is the longest in a long time and I still have a ways to go before I'm finished. I'm right in the middle of a very important part which is towards the end of the story, and it's going to be just about all action and suspense until I wrap things up.

That beings said there's a portion of the story building up to the end that I still haven't written. I skipped ahead because I wasn't feeling particularly inspired. So how long will 'Destiny' be? Well... I could see it being as many as 70,000 words long which is absolutely an insane length considering how long the other two stories were.

Previously the full title of the story was 'Destiny: Triumph of a Spellbinder'. I've since changed it too, "Destiny: Legacy of a Spellbinder'.

Anyway back to the quiet little pocket of my mind where I keep the ol' muse locked up. She's been screaming at me telling me it's time to let her loose again.

Wow... I didn't expect this

Wow... I didn't expect this to become a full blown novel, but I can't wait for the final version. 70k words. Impressive, I guess the last story of this series will be rather epic.

Neither did I

Neither did I, but the story just kept getting longer and longer.

Thanks, I hope it will live up to your expectations. This story is definitely testing my limits as a writer.

Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can manage to escape the madness, melancholia, the panic and fear which is inherent in a human situation.
