Sighs of relief and tears of joy...
Mrs. D has been diagnosed with pericarditis ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pericarditis ). While it's not as serious as we first feared, it still is something to be reckoned with. The doctors at the hospital were on top of things, be the ailment is considered insidious and they can't attribute it to one single thing regarding the cause. Between her own thyroid and chronic fatigue issues, her immune system has taken a beating, so it could be any number of things. Thank you so much to all who have been thinking and caring and praying. I'll keep you posted.

glad it wasnt worse
praying for a full recovery for her. I assume this health stuff has meant you guys havent had the time to talk about 'Drea?

Big gentle hugs
For you and Mrs. D. Some times the scare can be worse than the illness, but still you both have my prayers. Getting old is tough, and all the bumps and potholes we've run into on the way doesn't make things any easier.
More Gentle hugs!
Grover
Glad they FOUND it...
It's nice to have a name to hang on what ails us... It also tends to imply, more often than not, that there might be a treatment regimen that can help, if not cure the ailment.
I many ways, it's worse, when there are symptoms, and they can't figure it out - or they think it's something, start treating, and you don't get better. That's NOT good. (Been there, done that.)
So glad it's nothing worse, and my best wishes to both of you.
