I would like to say that because of the IOC decision to remove wrestling from the Olympics that I will not be posting any parts of the story this weekend, but that would be a lie (but would make it sound like I have ethics).

Truth is, I think I need to give people a chance to catch up a little bit on what I posted and I'm a little ahead of the curve of where I planned to be anyway. I will resume on Monday with regularly scheduled posts. I have some other side work o do (like get the file ready for createspace, there is a library system in the northeast that wants the book available) and also work on another pre-written novel for kindle (I need a book priced at 2.99 and already wrote one that was posted years ago).

I appreciate all the support I've gotten. A little surprised that no one mentioned that a novel was available here on other TG websites (I would post but my account is banned). I am already getting the stirrings for a next novel (evidently I've become a novelist because all my plans for stories are long).

Have a good weekend.

I was also angered, but not baffled, by the Olympic decision. Wrestling is one of the original sports from the ancient Olympics, and in every modern Olympics. The Olympic motto is, IIRC, "faster, higher, stronger". Wrestling, track and field, swimming, cycling, all fit that.

But the Olympics today is a big entertainment business, not a sporting event. If a sport like wrestling doesn't bring in enough TV viewers and sponsors, it's out. The Olympics today is more like "Dancing With The Stars", "America/Britian's Got Talent", or a "reality" show than real sporting competition.

Well, there is a solution to

Well, there is a solution to that problem. Have the wrestling competition include a pool full of baby oil and have both the male and female wrestlers were skimpier clothing. The ratings will shoot right up! :P

All kidding aside I agree with you about the modern Olympics.
