I want to cry.

I shouldn't say want to because tears are already escaping my eyes, so I should say "I am crying"

You got to understand, ever since I was a little kid I have always wanted to be a famous author. I know that I'm not technically famous but I really feel like I'm on my way.

February is coming to a close (it closes midnight pst for Amazon) and this has been my most successful month EVER. I want to share with everyone on Big Closet because we are like family and I've shared so many hurts and pains and tears of sadness before that I really want to share these tears of joy. Here is what happened this month.

1. Got ranked number 1 on Amazon. (Yes, it was in the wrestling sub-genre, but I was going against the likes of WWE superstars like Chris Jericho and Triple H, so why should I downplay the accomplishment)
2. Right now I am ranked number 9th in the Christian Romance sub-genre (much stiffer competition and probably more accurate for the book) and am number 228 overall in free books (Dare I dream of breaking the top 100)
3. This month I sold, sold 112 copies of my books (by the way, we need to do a campaign for Amazon to add a Transgender Fiction sub-genre) I think previously my best was under 20. A lot of those were by the way I handled WAM but think that would be a good model for others to follow (write, then post in chapters)
4. Here is the new things. Today. I mean today. I mean in less than 24 hours. I have given away over 1100 copies of WAM. That means over 1100 people want to read my book. OH MY!!!!

Other news in February:

5. I became someones girlfriend officially. EEEK!!!!
6. No one robbed me while moving out!!!
7. I am talking about marriage and who would've thunk that.

Thank you my friends for sharing my joy.

Oh, and The Dress Punishment is now available for sale for a dollar on Amazon. Since it gets 20 reads a day, I figured why not.

Great story from a great writer.

I have never been a fan of either sports or Christian fiction so your story breaks through a lot of my red flags. That is because it is such a honest story about an honestly good people. It is phnominal well written story which catches the true spirit and faith of the Christian message. It sat easly on my nervous system and did not set off any of my multiple anxieties. That deserves two big thumbs up.

YES I DID DOWNLOADED A COPY I am still fighting to figure out the system so I can write a review and push a bit for your efforts.

Katie is fast becoming one of my favorite writers here.

Yeah, I am trying to figure out the comments on Amazon thing my self, and the ins and outs of profiles there, public info vs non-public etc., since I have various interests.

Great work Katie, & Congratz on everything else!

WAM, Amazon and reviews...

KT,

I purchased WAM before you started to give them away, and I don't regret that at all... great story, and I am always careful about heavily Christian themes, being Wiccan myself. But your hero acted like his "Boss" always talked about instead of how most mainstream Church's current teachings. Well Done!

I would love o add a very positive review and rating, once I figure out how to do so with my "tag" name and not my legal one ( which is how I bought it)

Its funny, no problem being a very out Pagan/Wiccan Priest.... but t would cause public ( and family/in-law problems if my TG life was open. My wife knows and understand s, but the rest will not!

TG Sub-genre

I can see where you are coming from but it's not necessarily a good idea.

Once you have such a label available everything gets shoved under that label, doesn't it? That means that it will be shunned by everyone who is not already on our side. Effectively, you've created a ghetto for TG stories.

This seems to be a US thing, the labeling of everybody and everything and putting it into a box. Over here in the UK we are more relaxed about such matters and we accept overlaps somewhat better. You only have to listen to our radio to appreciate this.

The way you're doing it now is much better. Your stories filter through other genres and get read by people who would never otherwise have picked up a book with that content in it.

Spreading the word can only be a good thing.

All I can say is it's about time!

Karma owes you really big girl and it's about time that you had all these things and more. Just think as a couple and shared bills and stuff you might actually be able to afford to get back tings that were unjustly taken.
You deserve this!
*Happy for You Hugs*

WOW! Katie, I agree! Amazon

WOW! Katie, I agree! Amazon does need a Transgender Fiction sub-genre. Maybe you and the other Big Closet authers who have books there can encourage them to do it.
