Looking for a story I read a few years back. A successful well-off bachelor has his life (and body) stolen from him by renegade witch with a grudge against men. Her coven rallies to help the new witch get back what was stolen monetarily as well as getting some revenge on the "new" him. Think I read it here but not sure.

Sounds familiar

and would like to read it again. I will try to remember any that fit that description and let you know what I find, if anything

JulieO on Stardust?

Pretty sure that is a Julie O story on Stardust, it may also be here or on Storysite.

Here are links to Julie O's author pages on Stardust and here:

Seems to me, that story is in a series or at least another story refers to events in that one.

Erin

I could be wrong

But I don't think it is a JulieO story. I just checked Stardust and it isn't in the JulieO stories there. I'll look here also but just don't think I'll have any luck.

That's it SamanthaK!

Thank you very much! And it is by Paula Dillon, one of the best authors on here! Paula even allowed me to use a few of her characters for a story I wrote, "Drawn To Nursing", for which I am eternally grateful! A big thanks for writing this story, Paula, I remembered it was well-written!

Thanks, Sephrena!

That is indeed the story! Thanks to everybody for their help!

One of Paula's best shorter stories

Have long thought thought it stands well on it's own a sequal might be in order.

IE he now she is too decent a person to leave the former man hating witch stuck as she now is.

Clearly she would never give the body thief her younger magically gifted body back but perhaps if the former witch has learned her bittter lesson in that older unhealthy male body the new witch might do something to help her.

Always liked the idea of redemption. And there is something to be said about redeeming a true sinner.

Mind you as Karen_J here has pointed out many times, with a character like the former man hating witch why should the new one trust her. IE fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me..

A great one off as it stands.

I can see why Karen was looking for it. A great tale of a delusional *revenge* gone oh so wrong or right depennding on your POV.
