No longer transitioning

And I don't mean that in a way to say that I have arrived.

For various reasons. The most glaring being that my weight is out of control. I will have to quit taking hormones. My weight is now over 530 lbs and it isn't going down no matter what I do. I figured I'd let everyone know. I think I wasn't ready to transition any way. It's a lot of work and it's a lot of pain. I'm sure there are more catastrophic things than having to take oneself off of hormones, but right now I am neither male or female anyway. I'm just a blog.

Oh, and according to Felix I'm a fucking Douche, so that helped my decision. Like I've always said, give it time and life will always put me back in my place. For those who got tired of me "Gloating", you got your wish.

What happened? This is NOT good!

I'm sorry sweetie.

I wish there was something I could do. Please remember you are loved, and I am praying for you.

Your health must come first

Get your weight under control. THEN you can resume your journey to womanhood if you so desire.

I understand a healthy body does often lead to a healthier mind. it's not just an old saying. So the fact you have had a bad time of late might well be a refection of your physical troubles.

Get well, Katie. You are valued here.

You write about things many would rather avoid because of the personal *buttons* it pushes.

But reading your stories is cathartic and in the end helps many IMHO.

I agree with John

PLEASE, take care of your health first! Then you can finish what you have started (ie your transition).
Your writing skills are too valuable to lose. Your family here at BC are here to help you with both written and unwritten support as you move on with your life. As for your detractors blow them a big raspberry and rise above thier comments.
HUGS!

Best wishes

Having to suddenly stop taking hormones is NOT easy... (I was off for six (6) months.)

Best wishes to you. Hope you're able to get the health issues under control.

A few things for thought.
1) Hormones are NOT required to transition... (25 years ago, you had to have been full time (24x7) for two years before they'd prescribe hormones... (At least where I was). So, if you still want to transition, you can.

2) Over the next few months (depending on how long you've been on hrt) you may start experiencing "Hot Flashes"... If you have one or two, you'll KNOW it (no doubt in your mind). (It's your body getting used to not having estrogen again. it SUCKS!)

3) With/without hormones, you are still the person you were before.

Best wishes to you, and I hope you're able to work things out.

Two years was the standard

But where I was (NYC) that was not necessary as there was a certain Dr Leo Wollman (dead a long time ago) who will not make you wait as long as he is satisfied with only one meeting.

Luckily he was not a quack per se and gave me a good rule of thumb dose that by the time I went to a real endo (Leo was not) the levels I had were only considered a smidge higher than the endo wanted so the endo did not lecture me. Oh, I did have another doctor too but had the good sense not to take too much.

Katie, health first. Hormones places an additional stress on ones body.

530 lbs!!!!!

That is seriously dangerous obesity. You've reached a stage where it's dangerous to even try to exercise short of very short gentle walks. It's now down to dieting all importantly, with some gentle exercise that does NOT overload your system. Katie for heaven's sake take care girl, we don't want to lose you!!! It is NOT going to be easy! So sorry that you are having problems. Take care girl!

Health First!

Take care of yourself.
Is there a medical reason you can't loose weight.
(That is question for your self, we don't need to know, you do and your doctor does.)

You know that does NOT mean you can't still Be A Girl!

Exactly

Exactly. As I understand it, transitioning is a state of mind as much as a physical process.

Now then Katie, what's the best dietary advice I can give to you? Oh yes, here it is...
