So I'm sitting here debating whether or not I should post the unreachable on the site. The problem, it's long.... really really really (don't make me write it 100 times) long. It comes in at 185k words. The transgender part doesn't show up until 150k words in. So I'm wondering if I should or would people think it a big waste of time.

A chance. Katie, please put your story out and be good to yourself. There is love for you, enjoy.

I have a story 'under

I have a story 'under construction' where the TG bit does not appear until the last part.

Go ahead and post.

Having bought and read the ebook, I don't see any reason why people here wouldn't like it. I don't see length as a particular issue, we have a great number of long running serials on this site that I suspect are larger. At least people know this is a complete story, and not an open ended series that is going to constantly grow with no end. I know some people prefer to know a work is complete before starting to read.

One of the nice parts about this story is the ongoing suspense of how quickly, and by what means, the main character is outed. The audience knows who the TG character is from the start, but its seeing how quickly the other characters pick up on the clues that is interesting.

I enjoyed reading it, and I have no doubt that others here will also like it. If you do decide to post it, and I think you should, I expect you will receive plenty of interest.

I also predict the will be plenty of people asking for a sequel afterwards. I know I would be interested if you did write a second book.

sequel

There is going to be a sequel, someday. Not only is there going to be a sequel and not only do I know what its about, but its also going to feature a guest appearance by an adult Jenny Milan Sweet from the GBTC trilogy (which will have 4 books by the time this one is written). I don't want to give a lot away, but I even have a working title.

Not Your Style?

It is possibly not your style but, another choice you could make is, try the story out on some of your friends here, or more likely if you feel it is a good enough story, do it in the big closet as a teaser.

Those are just some of the other routes you could take.
