My submissions will likely slow.

Printer-friendly version

My submission speed is likely to slow, because I have lost internet. I am currently at my local library writing this. not only can i not live at the library, the unstable fung shui of my household has taken a dive due to the lack of internet, so my own writing has slowed. Please be patient with me.

As a side note, STILL no answer from amazon. Is there some secret I'm missing here? Some way to force them to at least tell me "no, your story sucks and we won't publish it!"?

Amazon

I had problems too. Going back to the library page it kept asking me to resubmit. A search on the internet revealed (after the fourth or fifth time!) that under the add editor and contributor pull down menu you have to put yourself as author. I missed that vital part.

And no, I never got a notice about it either. :)

It's possible that's your problem too!

Sorry to hear about your problems. I really enjoy your stuff!

Don't know.

I was directed to give them an email with my story first; perhaps I was told the wrong way to even go about it. I don't know. Would be just my luck though.

Well an update on the situation.

After 2 months of waiting, amazon finally got back to me:

"Our editors have carefully considered your submission, and it has not been selected for inclusion in the Kindle Singles store. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to consider it. We apologize for our delay in response time and hope it will not discourage you from submitting your work to Kindle Singles in the future.

As always, you're welcome to publish your work via Kindle Direct Publishing at kdp.amazon.com."

...So my work isn't good enough to be included in their store, yet they want me to self publish it with them somehow.

Needless to say, I'm confused. And perhaps a bit suicidal. I'm not quite sure yet.
