I know I haven't been too productive since Martin and I got Frank working but things have been a bit crazy around here. First, Frank doesn't always cooperate (sometimes the video card just doesn't want to boot with the rest of the system). Second I've been really exhausted for the past three weeks. A little over two months ago Martin and Francine were trying to work out a choreography for an ‘invitational spectacular’ that is held every year, it’s sort of a year-end party for the local dance community. Francine is Martin’s mom, fellow choreographer, and my other dance teacher. Dance is pretty big in their family, the whole family is into it.

At this yearly invitational various choreographers and dance instructors from around Montreal present dances with their students. Ever since Martin’s first time at this event as a presenter he and Francine have gotten a reputation for creating the most visually stunning and complex looking shows to be presented; so for the last several years the event organizer has saved their presentation for last. Martin thought I was ready to be a part of this year’s choreography, but a lot of their usual dancers couldn’t participate this year because of various reasons (they usually have about 12 dancers total). So with a month and a half remaining before the event it was decided to go with just Francine, her husband Pierre, Martin and myself; three advanced dancers and a beginner who has never performed anything in front of people before.

Long story short, about five weeks ago I sprained my ankle (the same one I pulled ligaments in earlier this year) while doing housework, and Francine got bronchitis so we weren't able to practice as much as we needed to. So for the past nearly 3 weeks I've been practicing as much as possible on a bad ankle and I've been exhausted and in pain when I'm done. Also I was having paralyzing fear and panic attacks about performing in front of people as the event got closer which wasn't helping my creativity. The show was on Saturday (I'd tell you how it went but this post is long enough already) and we have another performance of the choreography on Friday where we'll be the entertainment at a dinner and then I can take it easy and get some work done.

More good news, I shouldn't have to rely on Frank now since one of my readers offered to send me one of his older laptops witthout any committment to pay them back or obligations or anything. I was told the laptop wouldn't be current but should be okay for writing. I recieved the nnotebook today and it far exceeds the specs of my old laptop when it was working at it's best. So I would like to take this time to thank that reader (you know who you are) for both myself and my other readers. I would thank you by name but I'm not sure if you would be comfortable with it. You are an amazing and wonderful person and I am truly grateful for your kindness. Also thanks to all my readers, you make me feel like I could make a careeer of this.

*big hugs*

I soon will have another

I soon will have another spare laptop that I do not need since I bought my son a desktop. It's older and I just need to throw on windows 7 on it and MSoffice and it should be good to go. Going to have it checked out by a friend this coming weekend. I don't need it and odds are it will just sit on a shelf just in case you need another one.
