That's right. It's been since October, well, August and Through the years is back. Hope's ranch is almost done, at least the next part and maybe, just maybe, I'll try and post something tomorrow. I may drop to a post by the week schedule. Work has been hard and with our backroom at work, being like an oven, I have felt very off lately. Heck, spent almost an hour and a half in that humid room the other night, sweating like a hog.

But the important thing to get from this. Through the years is back. Hope's Ranch will have an update, My work needs A/C in the back room and my cat licked from my bowl of ice cream. Why is the last one important? That was the last of the mint chocolate chip ice cream in the house.

I just read your latest installment, staying up much later than I originally intended in order to do so. Wonderful to read about the "trials and tribulations" of Tracy once again. Do you realize that for the past year I literally checked this site daily--sometimes several times daily--for any update from you, even a blog entry? No other story universe has ever had quite that much of a hold on me.

I have to say I thought Tracy's constant crying might be due to hormones--heaven knows I cried at everything even remotely sad because of hormone spikes (including several passages in Katie Leone's "God Bless The Child.") And yes, I've found myself crying at stupid commercials too. Given all that poor child has been through, though, I'm guessing it's all been a delayed reaction to the garbage she's had to deal with over the course of those eight or nine months.

And now she's being questioned by a cop? My friend, you certainly know how to torture your readers. I'll be biting my nails until the next installment.

in next year. But I can't do that. Thanks for reading, by the way.

As for hte cliff hanger, I try to not break a certain limit in words, so its not a reading marathon. I hate having to find my place in a huge story. My memory is horrible like that.

But the reasons are many as to why it took so long. Writers block. My job, my cats (they get in the way and sit on my keyboard, so writing is hard to do) and a host of other problems. But hopefully I can keep going now.
