Check out Carol Burnett's Star Trek TG parody

Her Captain Kirk is so Shatner-esque, with Andrea Martin as Spock. And the woman who does McCoy is laugh out loud spot-on!

Seven years and a day ...

It's been seven years (and a day) since I officially joined the BCTS community and became a member. Although I've always been a writer and still make a pretty decent living writing ads, brochures, and other marketing material, Big Closet gave me a place to put my fiction out there so it could (hopefully) do what fiction is supposed to do — entertain, and (if I was lucky) say something unique about the human condition.

Wondering why the sudden interest?

In the past few days, my short story turned serial turned novel, No Obligation, has gotten a lot of attention. We're talking many more hits per day than usual, with the first chapter easily scoring over a hundred hits a day.

I did a site search, wondering if someone had mentioned the story in a comment without my being aware of it, but there was nothing. Not that I'm not grateful for the attention, Powers That Be, but ... does anyone know why my favorite child is getting noticed? *grin* Inquiring minds want to know.

... where should Serenity ... my Serenity, with Wash-as-Linda and all of the crew ... go from here?

For those of you who missed it when it fell so quickly off the front page, the last chapter of the second book can be found here. But now that we've reached a good stopping place, I'm curious as to whether folks want me to keep going.

I was looking at the "My Stories" page and I noticed something odd. The latest chapter in the Stark series, Stark: The State of Grace, has less than a thousand hits overall. Compare that to every other chapter, with hit numbers between 2000 and 3000, and you have a bit of a mystery.

I tried something new -- of course it went wrong!

Last night, I tried to schedule the second part of Firefly: Connecting Flight to post automatically this morning. Naturally, it didn't work. It was supposed to post at 6 a.m. Eastern Time -- and it just isn't there. And I can't find where it's lurking so i can just go to it and post it immediately!

Can anyone help me find it and get it posted, stat?

Are there any Firefly/Serenity fans out there?

I have a TG fan fiction I wrote that takes place after the events in the movie Serenity, which was the sequel to the televisions series Firefly. I was wondering if there might be interest here, although i will say that there are spoilers embedded in the story for those who haven't seen the film yet.

A Public Apology to Jezzi

Author, Rating and Tags:

I posted Surprise! over at Sapphire's Place, not realizing that somehow I had crossed a line I didn't know was there. While replying to a comment left by someone else, I said something about Jezzi that was not true. I thought I understood something about the nature of some of her stories, but I was very much mistaken. Jezzi, I am very, very, very sorry.
