It's that time of the year for the county fair

Sorry For the delay in the next chapters of Elven Question and Black Sword. It is that time of the year again. The county recently. The last week has been not stop work with the 4H kids. The boys just finished showing their draft horses this afternoon. The girls showed off their work with the horses they've trained for police work. I haven't had much time for writing. Tomorrow the boys will be pitting their draft horses against tractors in a pulling contest. (*evil giggle* My money is on our boys for the win)

The laugh is on me.

Like the title says the laugh is on me. Today the Kentucky Derby was run. As an avid horsewoman I love to watch the Sport of Kings. Along with placing the occasional bet. I use my knowledge of horses and their riders in making those bets. I usually do pretty well at the races. One of the many things I never do is bet on the long shot. That was until today. My daughter talked me into placing a $200 bet on 80-1 longshot Rich Strike for her. As it was her allowance money that was being used I thought it would teach her a lesson about gambling. Well the lesson was on me today.

Hi Everyone,

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted any new chapters lately. I've been busy with my family and the the farm over the last few weeks. It seems that my oldest two daughters and their husbands all thought it would be a great idea to visit at the same time. (July 1-9) Between them being here and working with the 4H Kids plus having to make repairs to the fence line I haven't had a lot of time to write. With my youngest daughter Karen watching me like a hawk I have only been able to get about 400-500 words written per day with the work load.

No postings for Wolfjess7 stories this week

To those who follow Jessie Wolf's stories. I'm sorry to report that my mother will not be posting any new chapters this week for either Speed Demons or Wolff of the endless waltz. As much as she loves posting her stories here at Big Closet. I must put a halt until further notice. Please do not blame mom. Blame me. I know I'm being selfish but i want to keep her around until I graduate college and get married. (Wolf daughter growl) Hopefully she'll be back home in a few days from the hospital and in a few weeks back to posting her stories.

Thank you for understanding.

A Victory for my 4H kids

Sorry for the delays in both ‘A thief’s problem’ and ‘Racing Angels’. As you know both myself and my husband are the Advisors for one of the local 4H clubs here in Garret County Maryland. For the last two weeks we have been very busy with our two teams. First was the local 4th of July parade at home. This was followed up by the Med-Atlantic Competition where my girls placed 5th as a team while the boys place 8th as a team. As this was their last competition for the year both me and my husband are extremely happy.

Sorry for the delays

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not posting any of my stories for the last few weeks. Both me and my husband Paul have been extremely busy. We are the Faculty Advisors for two of the local high schools’ 4H clubs. As a few of you already know Paul and I are the advisors for the Dressage teams. We have been out of town at the Mid Atlantic Reginal High School Dressage Competition. We’re extremely proud of how well the two teams preformed. Now that I’m home I’ll be back to my usual posting schedule. (hopefully)

Update for Interview with a Lolita

For all those who have been following the story of Ren Nagata in Interview with a Lolita. It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all that I will not be continuing this story for a while. I have gone through 5 rewrites of the next chapter and none of them have the right feel. Sadly I must take a step back from the story for several reasons.

Delay on Flight of the Claymore

Sorry ladies and gentlemen, but there will be a delay in the posting of the final chapter of Flight of the Claymore. I will be honest. I have rewrote this chapter a few times already and have deleted those attempts. For whatever reason Terresa is refusing to let her story end but like all good things it must. I hope to be posting the last chapter sometime this weekend.

Sorry but there will be no Flight of the Claymore this week

Sorry ladies and gentlemen but there will be no posting for Flight of the Claymore this. Unfortunately Mother Nature decided to destroy my PC by means of lightning strike this week. While I do have access to the Internet for blog posts thanks to the old smart phone I am unable to post large files such as a story chapter. My Insurance Agent as assured me that I will have a new PC by this time next week. Thankfully I have all my chapters on removable flash drives so there should be no delay in finishing the story.

Awakening the Dragon: Knights of Death

The Civil War is in full swing and Maiha Nakatoma has her hands full. A cowardly act of violence will have far reach consequences and change the face of the war. One so vile that not even the Gods would dream of the Hell Spawned Demon it releases. A legend of nightmares from the past returns and a blade that has remain sheathed for centuries is drawn. Not even the Temple of Holy Light and Cardinal Richelieu could ever have dreamed of Awakening this Dragon from its long slumber.

Found My Brain But can’t find my Sanity,

Well got the house all unpacked and most of everything put away. Maiha and Sam stopped by the new digs to help out. Thankfully they knew where they packed my brains. It seems the girls thought it would be funny to put them in a box marked Yard Tools. That box wound up in the guest bedroom behind the door. Now if they could only find where I packed my sanity I might just be able to get back to writing.

Help! some one packed away my brain!

Well I finally got into my new home. Very little problems with the move. Now I only have to deal with finding where everything is packed. At this point I think someone packed up my mind and I am drowning in a Sea of BOXES. If anyone has seen my mind and know what box it is in PLEASE tell this poor author where it is at. The good news is now that the move is over I should be posting new chapters here shortly.

Frozen in the northeast

For the past four days work has taken me to the New England states. And during that entire time the temperature never got above the mid-twenties. I must have become a real wimp over the last few years living in the South. The next time I head north during the winter months I’m buying heavy weight winter tights, turtle neck leotards, and thermal over the knee socks or anything that will keep you warm. (Burr!) The truly sad thing is I no sooner get home to South Carolina than an artic freeze is pushing its way south. Can’t a sister get a break?!

Passing of the torch

Today is as special day of me and my husband. Today we watched our two daughters graduate from the US Army Airborne School. For us it has a special meaning for our family. You see when I first came to the US I joined our military to help gain my citizenship. While I served I won those same wings, so you can see why this was so special to me. For my husband who is from the UK and had served in their military as a British Paratroop it was doubly so. You see his father and his grandfather were also British Paratroopers going all the way back to WW2.

TSA ARE Prevs.

As a few of you know I was in a life changing accident around the beginning of the year that cost me my left leg. Over the past few months I have had my ups and downs with my recovery. As a freelance Network Designer by trade I do a lot of traveling, but until just recently I have not had to fly anywhere. Most of the time I just drive or if needed the Amtrak. (For our overseas readers that is the train.)
