Lessons Learned
By Shawna Stimple
Michael Madelyn Huffman hated his middle name. It was a family name, but that offered him little comfort to the tormenting he received if anyone found out. His father had recently lost an aunt, and had to attend to her funeral out in the Midwest. His mother wanted to go with him for support, but Michael had never met his great aunt, so they did not want to drag him along unnecessarily. They arranged it so that he could stay with his mother’s sister, and her daughter for a few days while they attended to the estate.
