More. Please.

Is there going to be more chapters, the story is good and I've been checking every day.

Sorry...

I want to, but my MAU story has been driving me crazy and I am writing it while the iron is hot.

As soon as I finish it, which will be soon if I keep up the current pace, I will start back up with Jade Skirt.

Excellent story

I read this when it was new, and just finished a re-read now. Excellent story; one of my favorites. Thank you for the great work.

I'd like to point out a factual error which is big enough to disrupt suspension of disbelief for knowledgeable readers. Suppressors do a very good job of silencing the report of firearms. The baffles absorb the energy of most of the gasses exiting the muzzle. Nonetheless, it's nothing like the "pfft" in the movies; there is a clearly audible report. More importantly, almost all bullets leave the muzzle at supersonic velocities, and every cartridge mentioned in this story is supersonic. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only modern cartridge that is subsonic is .22 short. Even many high-end spring-piston air rifles achieve supersonic muzzle velocities (for very interesting--to an engineer--physical reasons). A supersonic projectile creates a shockwave (e.g., a "sonic boom"), which is quite loud. Dani could not shoot at thugs at the mansion without other thugs hearing it, and she would not have simply felt the air move from a near miss in the sub warehouse; she would have heard a very loud "crack".

Again, wonderful story. I don't mean the above as a criticism. I only wanted to point out the error.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, the targets would've heard the rounds as they zipped past them. I could probably "fix" it by having one of them ask what the hell was that noise, under the assumption that none of them had ever been on the receiving end of being shot at.

It probably wouldn't change the results. They didn't have any cover and for Dani, it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

If I ever revise the story, I'll consider revising that section to take into account the sound of rounds zipping past.

Thanks again,

Someone recommended that I read this. What a wonderful person, whoever that was, because I found this story to be AWESOME. And thank you so much for providing it in an epub version.

So far I have read She of the Jade Skirt; Whisper; Costume Required and your first MAU story. You are an awesome author. I hope you find time to go back and continue the second Whisper story. Thank you.
