Just one more little town trying to get in on the hate and stupidity.

Why can't they learn?

I shudder when I think of my neighbors to the south. Cripes Trumps wall across the great lakes might not be a bad idea keep the loonie hate mongers outa Canada.

It's Not a College Town...

...which is what I wondered about, given the name. (Oxford, Mississippi, is the home of the University of Mississippi.) According to Wikipedia, the town was originally named for a ford in a creek where livestock crossed. (It had begun its existence as Lick Skillet in 1852.)

The Wikipedia article says that it does include "the only enclosed shopping mall between Birmingham [62 miles west on I-20] and Douglasville, Georgia [a western suburb of Atlanta, about the same distance east]".

Sex and the Single Girl

This probably isn't practical, but imagine if we could get about 50 to 60 M2F that are non-op or pre-op and just have them start cycling through the Men's Room in the state legislature. The narrow-minded idiots would have no where to go (pun not intended). See how they like it!

I went outside once. The graphics weren' that great.

Bathroom Laws and olde memories

Wow.

It looks like the Southern states have finally found a reason for a new secession. This would take the Untied States into a second Civil War and break apart the Republic. Secession is one of the few reasons Federal troops may be legally deployed within the United States. That could be just one more of the reasons the United States ( no longer united ) do not come to the aid of Israel at the time of Armageddon. Hummmm.

Old song.... “Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.”

It would also fit right in with one of the stories I read a couple of years back here at BCTS which had the United States in a post war break which left it in smaller blocks.

Alaska and Hawaii went off by themselves. No mention was made (that I remember) of their fate.

The Western States formed some sort of alliance which included Washington, Oregon, Idaho, parts of California, and Nevada as some sort of North-Western Alliance.

( Don’t quote me, I’m typing all this with my eyes closed and from memory since I don’t remember the name of the story.)

The lower portion of California, all of Arizona, New Mexico and part of Nevada were assimilated into Mexico during an attack which went undefended due to Federal troops being involved in the ‘South’.

The North and Central States, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, the Dakotas, Kansas, and part or all of Michigan, Minnesota, and possibly one or two others became the Northern Republic. Probably the closest to the present Republic's ideals (?).

The old divide of Southern States become the new divide of Southern States ( a new Confederation) and the Northeastern States become the Federal Alliance at war with the Southern Confederation but so equally matched that the ‘war’ becomes an uneasy semi-truce without the documents to declare it so.

As I said, all of this is from a bunch of rather old brain cells so don’t quote me as to the actual disposition of the states.

Anyway, the story is about transgender individuals attempting to escape persecution in both the Federal Alliance, the Southern Confederation, and Mexico’s acquisitions by using an “underground railroad” (much as did the slaves during the first civil war) to escape to the western and Northern States.

At any rate (or perhaps for free) the absurdity of it all reminded me of the story which was fairly well written. Unfortunately I don’t remember the ending or the name of it at the moment. However, take heart, now it looks like perhaps I won’t need to do so as I shall be able to sit back and watch it happen for real. Nasty shock which seems to indicate that I won’t be going back to my home of memory but remaining in Europe.

God Bless You All,

Anesidora

Tell me why again the Southern States take so much pride?

If one were to listen to old radio shows, observe their reluctance to let go of the battle flag of Virginia (stars and bars), creationism, religious self-righteousness, secession due to slavery, Jim Crow laws, segregationism, racism and now bathroom laws, one must wonder where this Southern Pride comes from, that the South so stubbornly propagates the myth of?
