Uh Oh!

Uh Oh!
(or Dougie's Lament)

I wished upon a distant star
For long awaited change
Myself be rearranged
By orb so far...

In a flash my face was smooth
My breasts had grown
Penis went to parts unknown
The altering did soothe

But even changed by that sun
My life was disappointing
Even with fair anointing
Transformation was no fun

For in wishing upon that star
I failed to reckon though
Since no matter where you go
Unfortunately there you are!

Some advice to my erstwhile brother?
If you want to be a sister
A miss instead of mister?
Be someone else…or don’t even bother!

What a cute little and

What a cute little and wonderful poem story all rolled into one. Definitely a most worthy contender. :) Jan

And the first is in!

Thank you, Andrea, for taking me up on my challenge.

Oh, Dougie!

Right on! My sentiments exactly.

To me, the essence of transgenderism is that not only does a new person dwell inside of you, but potentially a better person.

It makes little sense to fight such a hard battle to become a new being, if you don't like her anymore than your old self.

When I read about what some TGs go through for their inner selves to manifest, I feel deeply moved & sometimes ashamed by my own lack of courage. So many of you are really like jewels, hidden in the uncut rock, but willing to accept the chisel so you may scintillate your beauty to the world.

interesting poem

it sounds like transformation was a mixed blessing in this case, at best.

This has a great message Drea, but...

I disagree with the ending. We must all be who we are, even if that means becoming what most men see as a sex object. I have said many times before that being a woman is an attitude, a discipline, a way of life. First in order to be female from a male body, you must have the feelings and thought patterns of a female, or else you will fail miserably. If you don't have female feelings and thought patterns, and you are sick and tired of being or even living as a male, then I do agree, be someone other than a woman. Being a woman is only for the stalwart people who have the courage to be who we are, so if you don't have that courage, then apparently you are not proud enough to be who you so much need to be, and that in itself is a tragedy.
