Yasmine’s Wedding Switch

It was a typical day at our house when my niece dropped a big bomb on everybody - she was getting married. Not only that, the ceremony was going to be an all-out extravaganza, taking several days, and there was one feature in particular she wanted to discuss with us.

“Will you two do the switch ceremony?”

“Switch ceremony?”

“Its this old tradition. The day before a wedding, a married couple related to either the bride or groom sort of renew their vows, to bring luck to the new couple.”

“What would that actually mean for us?”

“Well, the switch ceremony has one feature that .... well, it involves the husband and wife switching roles. The woman wears a tux, and stands at the front, and the man wears a bridal gown, and comes down the aisle. You think you guys would be willing to do it?”

“But I’d look ridiculous in a dress!” My husband protested.

“That’s kinda okay. Nobody is supposed to take things really seriously, and well, most of the guests will be pretty tipsy anyway.”

“You really want us to do this?” I asked.

My niece nodded.

I looked at my handsome husband and said, “Its gonna be up to you, hon. I dont mind wearing a tux.”

“Do we need to do this?” He asked.

“I’d really appreciate it.” she pleaded.

I grinned at him, and said, “I would do anything I could to make this wedding a success. and I could ... make it worth your while, after.”

He smiled at that, and said, “Okay. I’m in.”

So a few weeks later, we went to a costume shop, and found a tux that would fit me, and then we found a dress for my love to wear.

“You better not be laughing at me!” he growled while trying the dress on.

“Oh no. Just the opposite. That outfit is getting me rather hot, if you know what I mean.”

He looked at me shyly, and said, “Really?”

I smiled, and said, “I’ll ... show you when we get home.”

Finally, the day of the switch ceremony came, and I slipped into my tux and waited at the front of the church for my “bride” to make his march down the aisle.

He made a pretty sexy bride, in my opinion.

And after the ceremony I showed him just how much I appreciated his willingness to go along with this idea.

Then there was the actual service for my niece and her man, and finally, we were headed back home, and got comfy in our own bed.

I kissed him, and said, “Thank you again, hon. I know this couldnt have been easy for you.”

“Well, not at first. I mean when I transitioned to being a man, I never dreamed I would be wearing a wedding dress. But your appreciation made it worthwhile.”

He then smiled at me and said, “But I hope you dont mind if I go back to pants from here on in. I’ll leave the pretty clothes for you.”

I made a pretend pout, and said, “Well, it was fun to switch for a bit. But I’m happy being the girl in this relationship. As long as you will be my man.”

“Deal.”

And a good night was had by both of us.

Sometimes we need

a little nudge, just so we know it's there for us to read.

...And it was definitely worth a read. You are a super yummy author. ^_^

Oh, and you can substitute the nudge for a butt pinch if you really want to, but you had better be prepared to take responsibility for what you start... ;)

Not quite, but a bit to close to that sometimes, and some moments that should be sleeping moments. Too much in fact, I really need to get on with my RL instead. *giggles*

Does anyone remember what that is? :p

I liked it.

A very adroit twist and a bit of illumination shined on our world of topsys and turvys.

Thank you.
