Chapter 3
Fractal lay on the ground watching the sky. It was very blue with large, fluffy white clouds. While it was hot, there was a light breeze keeping it from becoming too hot. In other words, it was a perfect late summer day. In fact, it was the last day before she was to travel to Whateley Academy. Which was why she was here.
Synopsis: A Fan Fiction Story set in Lilith Langtree's Comics RetCon Universe. A die-hard gamer gets a little too close to his online persona and is mistaken for Mystique.

Lawrence "Lex" McKinley lives about as average a life as one can with metahumans popping up everywhere. Well, as normal as someone who spends their free time as an MMA fighter really can. He's about to get the shock of his life--the punch he never saw coming.

The Reluctant Mechanic
A "Reluctant..." Series Fanfic By Melanie E.
A big thanks goes out to Melanie Brown for writing Chrissy's stories that inspired this, and for giving me permission to share it with everyone here.
This story is fanfic, and nothing but fanfic. Any similarity to canon events is purely coincidental, and should not be taken to mean that the author of this tale is somehow telepathic or anything.
You will forget I ever mentioned telepathy in 5... 4... 3... 2....

If and when this story hits the wire, the name within the byline will be quite different from the old war horse of a reporter, virtually at death’s door while covering the strangest event, ever to occur in the erratic history of my career.
As they were creeping along the side of the train they saw a shadowed figure outside speaking to someone inside the engine room. "I think that's one of them," Bobby whispered.
This is a fanfic (short for fanfiction) set in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time setting. The setting and any characters that are not original characters are fully the property of Robert Jordan, his widow (Harriet Rigby), his estate, his posthumous co-author/successor (Brandon Sanderson), and his publishers. At the end of each chapter will be posted a guide to how to pronounce terms and names -- be sure to leave a comment asking to add any term or name that was missed or that you need clarification.
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose across the waters of the River Erinin. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time.
But it was -a- beginning...

Prologue
Okay, I have this fanfic mostly written, and will be attempting to put one new bit out every week. This fanfiction is set in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time world setting. The setting and any characters that are not original characters are fully the property of Robert Jordan, his widow (Harriet Rigby), his estate, his posthumous co-author/successor (Brandon Sanderson), and his publishers. At the end of each chapter I will post a guide as to how to pronounce terms and names appearing throughout, along with brief definitions. At the end of the story will be an appendix compiling all of these together.
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose across the waters of the River Erinin, speeding across Tar Valon and toward the home of the Aes Sedai, the White Tower rising from the center of the city. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time.

This is a new occasional series that takes its basis and some of its storyline from the cancelled Tokyopop Manga, Yubisaki Milk Tea by Tomochika Miyano. It’s a great series and well worth looking out, it’s a mystery why they cancelled it. For my version I’ve changed the setting from Japan to England and of course the names, then I’ve added some new characters and situations to produce Jamie and the Peach. The original series was cancelled before completion but I intend to take my version somewhat further!

This is a fan fiction set in the Firefly/Serenity universe created by Joss Whedon. It takes place soon after the events in the television series and the companion motion picture that followed, and is also the sixth part of a sequel to Firefly: Connecting Flight. This means it has SPOILERS, folks, and major ones at that. So please don't read this unless you get the chance to see the series and the movie -- and read my first Firefly story (and the first five chapters of this one).
In the sixth part of FIREFLY: DOUBLE BOOKED, The crew stages a big damn rescue, and everyone's invited -- you, too, folks. *grin* Will the plan go smooth? Read on and find out!!

Hexxatious: Deja-Vu Part II
By- Savanna K. Summersette
I fluttered up towards the exhaust ventilation shaft, the huge steel industrial fan was motionless. Ms. Cantrel had told me that the LCD panel could turn the fan on and off. Flying straight up was more difficult than it might sound...butterfly wings weren't really made for vertical flight. So I had to lift vertically, toes pointed to the ground, my upper-body bent forward so that the down-strokes of my wings could flap down, allowing me to flap my wings in a way that would push me upwards.

While she was really looking forward to seeing her mother again, she was also a little excited at the prospect of seeing her home town again... and being seen by her home town.
The XX-Factor - The Sequel - Chapter One - Homeward Bound
...He'd spent a lot of time thinking about the sorts of things that he'd seen the other students do during their team exercise and had more than once wondered what it would be like to join them. He'd had his doubts about whether or not his powers were even in the same league as theirs, but today's events had proved that he really could do it.
The XX-Factor Chapter Six - The Evolution of Christy McGee
...He found it really odd but also quite exciting that the guys knew he wasn't really a girl, but still reacted towards him as if he was. It was a different kind of attention that he was completely unaccustomed and unprepared for, but it also felt really nice too.
The XX-Factor Chapter Five - Practice Makes Perfect
"Life is never simple, child," said Ororo. "The other students here at the Institute know that better than most. You will find all of them to be very understanding and accepting of you -- no matter which gender you appear to be."
The XX-Factor Chapter Four - Welcome to the Xavier Institute!
...Xavier stayed up for awhile longer to think about Chris McGee.
'Such a remarkable young person', he thought.
In truth, they were all quite remarkable. Each possessed of the incredible potential to be either an aid or a blight upon humanity. It would be the experiences of their youth more than anything else that would ultimately decide which path each of them would walk.
The XX-Factor Chapter Three - Discoveries & Decisions
...He knew that he was supposed to be changing around this time in his life and he had expected a voice change... but he was pretty sure that his voice was supposed to go deeper in pitch, not softer and slightly higher! None of his changes so far were anything like what he'd been taught in Health class to expect. He gave a slight shake of his head and watched as his hair bounced with a bit more body than he thought there should be.
"Damn..." he muttered to himself, "with a touch of makeup and the right clothes I'll bet no one would ever guess I was really a boy!"
The XX-Factor Chapter Two - An Ill-Fated Day at the Mall
A lonely young boy tries unsuccessfully to cope with recent changes in his life until an odd group of strangers arrive in town and show him that maybe his curse is a blessing after all.
