Frustrating...

The cover article in Discover Magazine in February 2000 was about composite faces. Maddeningly, though the article is archived on their site - http://discovermagazine.com/2000/feb/cover - all the pictures have been removed.

Well, your story was about making someone look like some one else who really existed.
It sounds more like the movie, S1mOne Since the digital character doesn't really exist.

And, hey the movie is relevant to this site, since it is TG fiction. The guy is the one who is acting as the digital girl.
