This is fan fiction for the Whateley Academy series. It may or may not match the timeline, characters, and continuity, but it's fan fiction so I hope it's forgivable. Also any injuries caused from laughing too hard are your own fault, not mine.

Rona is from the novella "Never", and Ruth is from the novella "How Far", both of them have been in very bad situations previous to this story, and it will really help to read both of them before reading this one. Don't worry, this story isn't as quite as dark as their origin stories.

Also this story is rather dark in places, if you're sensitive read cautiously.

Better To Give

I walked along a line of weary and wounded men. But they weren't men, at least not normal ones, their eyes were too big, the ears were pointed like an elf, they're skin was flawless except where dirt and wounds marred the almost angelic appearance. I'd have said they were the most beautiful people I'd ever seen except for their eyes, their eyes were hard, I'd seen similar eyes before, but those were pretty few and far between. Every single one of the men who were wearing what looked like fantasy armour, with real weapons that had seen hard use were staring at me as if they were thinking about the easiest and quickest way to kill me if I became a threat.

Students had started to come in, and the room was full of talking, the scraping of chairs, and bags and books being put onto desks. One bag was put right in the middle of the aisle, Caroline never had a chance. Her foot caught it, and she went tumbling forward, her sunglasses flying off. Trying to catch herself just made her elbow hit a desk painfully, throwing her even more off balance. She landed in a heap, just barely avoiding smashing her face into the floor.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 13

Teri flew into her room landing on her bed at a run, if she was going to get to the the F3 meeting on time she had to hurry. Diving into her clothes box it took her a moment to realize that there were some changes to the room.

“Huh, who left the rose bush?” she asked the empty room, flying up to look at a tiny, well tended rose bush sitting on her windowsill.

Goodbye Sun Chapter 1

Part 1
Fear

Anthony
New York

Anthony stared at the mirror, trying to ignore the sounds of the school that echoed in the hallway and into the small bathroom. His perfectly cut blonde hair matched school regulations, not touching his collar. A year ago he'd had a ponytail that reached well below his shoulders, he'd managed to man up and not cry when it was cut off on his fourteenth birthday to meet the high school regulations, but he desperately missed it whenever he combed his hair.

Doom Valley Prep School 9

I slept in the next morning since it was a free day to explore, prepare for classes and just have fun. When I finally got up Ella was out doing something, so after a quick run to the bathroom I sat down in a chair and wondered what I should tell my parents in the letter I wanted to send them. I kind of wanted to see their faces when they saw the line, 'Hey Mom and Dad, you know how you always wanted a daughter, well congratulations you've got one!'

Better To Give Epilogue

Agent Ryan tapped her desk top, taking very slow, deep breaths to keep from yelling at the incompetent excuse of an MCO agent who was standing shamefaced before her. She'd had to send an intern to pick up Agent MacArthur, from some little no nothing town on Christmas eve, and now when she should be reading “The Night Before Christmas” to her youngest, she had to deal with a total mess.

Better To Give Part 3 (Complete)

I massaged my leg which was horribly scarred as people worked on the estate that was spread out before me. People, humans and others, were tending gardens, herding reindeer, cleaning the steps of the mansion which looked like it was made of ice. They were the people I had helped save, and their descendent. Watching them creating beauty in the frozen north, even with the odd perspective from having a single eye, and knowing that my once strong muscles had wasted away over the years of pain that never went away and my own lameness, made it worthwhile.

Better To Give Part 2

Authors Notes: This is a fanfiction set in the Whateley Universe.
Also sorry about the long delay and the fact that it's still not done. I've been fighting some kind of sinus infection since October that made it feel like I couldn't breathe. It's getting better now, but I'm still not near 100%. Between that and a few special projects I was getting nothing else done.

Shattered Glass 8

Ruth walked with Rona to Doyle after class, the doctors were going to start removing the tattoos that night, and they'd be able to tell her how soon she'd be tattoo free after they were done the first treatment. She rubbed her arms wondering what she'd look like with unblemished skin.

Her friend opened the door for her and walked to the nurses station. “Hi, my roommate, Ruth is here for an appointment,” Rona said.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 18

I woke up without any pain.

My body was numb, not like I was drugged, but like what happens when you stay up too long and your body craves sleep. Slime encrusted my eyes, making it impossible to open them. From the cold, wet feeling, the slime covered my face, even opening my mouth didn't seem possible.

Breakfast Brawl: A Whateley Parody

This is a parody of The Breakfast Brawl in the Whateley Universe, as retold after several months. A link will be provided to Jade 4, where it occurs as soon as it's put up on the new Whateley site.

This is fanfiction, so it has nothing to do with canon, and should not be taken as such. I'm just playing in the sandbox they're nice enough to provide.

**

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 17

Crier rested on my lap, almost humming with power. Mrs. Jones was still asleep on my bed, she must have stayed up most of the night. My hand barely hurt, although my fingers were stiff and my skin still cracked and bled if I moved it too quickly. It had been over two hours and Calandri still hadn’t come to see me, that had me worried yet happy. It had looked like she was ready to kill me just before the fight. I hadn’t gotten a look at her afterwards, so it was possible she had been mollified.

Not likely.

“I must thank you, Alex,” a deep voice said.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 16

I woke up in pain.

My leg and hip felt fine, but my right hand was icy cold and cramped. Mrs. Jones was sleeping at my side, blood smeared on her clothes, still she was smiling peacefully. Easing myself out of bed, I found I was dressed in a nightgown. For at least the tenth time I wondered what was up with people constantly putting me to bed and changing my clothes every time I was injured. Raising the hem, I saw my leg was perfectly healed without even a mark. My hand wasn’t so lucky.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 15

It was hard to walk as I followed the whisp. It was hard to breath. I ignored everything around me, trying to bring the pain under some kind of control.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 14

I was resting that afternoon cleaning Crier, trying to control the anger that filled me, when a whisp came to the garden. I looked away from the images running over it’s surface that reminded me of home tugging at my soul. “Lead the way,” I said, looking at the light beneath it.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 13

The next morning I counted the days since I'd arrived, it was hard with how time moved so strangely. It didn't help that when I slept I spent time training with Crier, sometimes figuring out when I'd actually slept and when I'd been awake was difficult. Still, I had a pretty good guess that it was my birthday.

For Master Chapter 9

Whateley Academy,
Morning, August 22nd, 2007

Head Mistress Carson was sitting in her office, remembering the wonderful, if short, visit to New York, after visiting a new student in Pittsburgh. The paperwork wasn't quite the mountain it would be in less then two weeks when the students arrived, but it was steadily building up. As she thought about the coming year, Carson gave a silent wish that it would be easier then the last one, there wasn't much hope for that, but she could dream.

“Let's try this. Give me anything you have,” I told the cat woman at the counter.

“I'm not a mind reader kid, give me something a bit more specific,” she replied.

“Oh for the love of!” I screamed. “Give me a piece of bread!”

“All out.”

Girls watching the show started to laugh. Grabbing Tabby, I dragged her beside me. “I'll take whatever she is having.”

“I want a mandrake sandwich, with gravy, and a glass of roosters milk, please,” she said.

The cat woman handed Tabby a tray with her order, looked straight at me smiled and said, “All out.”

For Master Chapter 8

Two things, first this is fanfiction and has nothing to do with canon Whateley.
Second, the happy gas used by Glitch, is a drug that works extremely fast, and when something similar to it was put into rats and they could give themselves a dose of it by pressing a button, they pressed it as often as they would forget to eat and sleep. Everything that occurs due to an addiction from it is real.
So yeah, don't modify your body to put out an aerosol spray of the stuff.

Tabby was desperately flipping through the school booklet, which was over five hundred pages of small print, with pull outs, no table of contents, no glossery, and frequent references to the previous school handbook, which we did not have. Ella sat stunned and muttering something about how it had worked for her sister. Naomi was looking around desperately, biting her lip as pretty much everyone else was leaving. Ivy was sleeping quite contentedly. And I was wracking my brain trying to figure something out.

“Alright, Insight, I this poor, sweet, little kitten is scared, and you're the only one who can make him feel better. I want you to make him a little happy without becoming enthralled to you,” Dr. Chance said, putting a mewing little puff of grey and black light on the table.

She couldn't resist, and reached out to pet the little animal. “He's so soft,” she cooed. “Can I keep him?”

For Master Chapter 7

Mississauga, Ontario,
August 1st, 2007

Rachael and I played some pool in the teen drop in center. We weren't boyfriend and girlfriend, she wasn't comfortable being in that type of relationship while I was still looking for Master, but that didn't keep us from being best friends. Since most of Sam's old friends were out of town for the summer, or in the case of Bobby, Frank and a few others, pissed that I had beaten up Bobby, we had explored the city some more finding new places to hang out and meeting new people.

“Come with me Caroline,” Steve said, wrapping her arm around his, as they walked through the busy hall of the high school.

Doom Valley Prep School 6

A gong woke us up for our first breakfast at Doom Valley Prep School. Today was the day we'd meet the older students, see the school and pick our classes, I was dreading every minute of it. While Ella stepped into her closet and came out wearing the blue school dress, I came out in my padded armour. After seeing how bad the freshmen were, I didn't want to even think what the older students were like and had to be ready for anything.

Lucky Girl: Kota Vignette (Complete)

This is Kota's origin story, to know more about Kota, check out Fate Sucks, which occurs a few weeks after this story. Caution should be taken while reading this as it touches on some harsh subjects and is not a happy story, that is saved for Fate Sucks.

This is a work of fanfiction and does not correspond with the Whateley canon universe in anyway. I'm just borrowing their sandbox.

Teri flew into Dr. Bellows office thirty minutes before class started. “Hey Doc, so as per your request, I met Ruth yesterday for our first tutoring session,” she said.

“Thank you Teri, how did it go?”

“I want a raise! She's a nice girl, but I had nightmares last night. How am I suppose to keep looking so beautiful if I can't get my beauty sleep.”

“We don't pay you,” he said.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 12

This is the second part of the story. These chapters are rougher, but I think they're ok. Feel free to let me know what works and what doesn't. Enjoy.

Fate Sucks Chapter 16

Spring Combat Finals 2008

Kota sat beside Prairie Sun and Theresa watching the last day of combat finals. Prairie Sun had come down earlier that week to personally talk with Headmistress Carson about the enrollment of her daughter Estelle, and had decided to wait an extra week before traveling back home to Edmonton with Kota.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 12

Good news, anyone who's read Tink over on Crystal Hall, there is new material here. Some of it's been posted already but I added on new parts, so be sure to read this.
And thanks to Elrod who helped me out a bit with Shine, really appreciated.
Finally, this is fanfiction, and Whateley, most characters and the setting was not created by me. I'm just playing in their sandbox.
Enjoy.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 11

Tuesday

Tink carefully thought about what to tell Mrs. Ryan about doing the fashion show. When she'd gone to class on Monday the old woman had told her that they simply didn't have time anymore. But after being refused by Venus Inc., hah, more like Venus Envy, she thought, had decided she was too strange to work with, she had to really do something special to get people interested in her much better fashion club. She'd show them, she'd SHOW THEM ALL!!!!

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 11

The next morning I was too excited to stay still. After getting dressed in the same golden dress, leaving Crier on the bed, the dance had no place for him, I went to the cafeteria and had to force myself to eat. I saw Sam briefly but he was following a wisp probably to prepare for his fight. I went to Mrs. Jones and listened as she nattered on about how happy she was that I was going to be dancing for the 'town'. I didn't have the heart to tell her that if I did well she might never see me again. Better to let her be happy a few more hours and then forget about me later.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 10

The days went past strangely and quickly for me. Sometimes I'd be woken by Sam to be shown how things worked, or just to relax and talk. He never talked about his home, but he'd listen to me talk about my family and my old life. He introduced me to more of the humans, but most of them were lost in their own little worlds, or running errands and doing tasks for their masters, making it difficult to really know them.

Personal Writing Challenge: Jenny Jones Goes Sideways 2

Completed

The fish woman was practically jumping out of her skin as she and Matthew made their way through the increasingly busy market, pressing herself against his side ignoring the fact that she was only in underwear, very revealing underwear at that, and her rapidly rising and falling bust was rubbing his arm, giving him very naughty thoughts.

“Don't worry, they don't care about you,” Matthew told her.

“What?” she yelped, in surprise.

Personal Writing Challenge: Jenny Jones Goes Sideways 1

I wasn't in the mood to write my usual stuff, and I couldn't seem to think of anything, so I wrote a blog post asking for people to give me weird ideas and combinations. I took a bunch of them and turned them into a usable story. I had planned on having done in one shot, but it's taking a bit longer than planned. So here is the first part. The rest will be done tomorrow. At the end of this chapter I'll post the elements I used.

Please challenge me

I'm really annoyed today for lots of different reasons, and I can't really concentrate on work or the stories already in progress.

So to get my head in order, I'm asking for some challenges and ideas.
If you can please give me one or more of the following:
1) a really strange plot hook, 1 to 2 sentences.
2) three or more things, settings, locations, characters, etc, that don't seem to fit together.
3) a single sentence, the stranger the better, that has to be properly used in the story.

Doom Valley Prep School 5

A gong rang out declaring it was time for supper, and several doors opened up along the wall. We'd gotten the school maps from our rooms and looked over them a little. The school was a confusing jumble of halls, doors and tunnels, that didn't seem to make much sense, having a single room that was supposedly a bathroom, Potions 101, Literature 1, and the Promotion of Minion Infighting for Fun and Profit. There were also several rooms that seemed to overlap, with the doors being two feet apart, but the actual rooms being the size of a football field.

For Master Chapter 6

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 9

Mrs. Jones wouldn't let go of my hand as Sam and I went to the infirmary. Having Sam at my side and the crazy woman who suddenly decided I was her daughter hugging me, made the rasping, purple antechamber more bearable. I needed the help, I wasn't as hurt as Sam, but my cheek was swollen to the size of a tennis ball and the blood dripping down my throat, despite all the spitting I was doing had given me a bad stomach ache.

Oh boy

Blog About:

Author:

I have to call the police tomorrow.
Just found out that on Friday my ex was showing my daughter a gun on Skype. A nice realistic pistol.
My daughter was talking about it today, so we went and checked the video camera which records the calls, and there's my wife holding a pistol up quite happily showing it off.
Since she's never taken a firearms course, it's illegal, and with how she's been asking very specifically about my daughters schedule, I'm a little alarmed. Only the fact that she's 14 hours away keeps me calling the police right now.
