Alexa Chapter 36: London Calling, Part 2

The trip to London continues. Alexa searches for answers to the question that seems to be dogging her. More friends are made and the return of one of our favourite groups. Plus Alexa finally sees the dress

Alexa Chapter 32: Inclusion

Alexa and Jenny head to Florida to celebrate the holiday with the Thompson clan and attend Jenny's cousins wedding. The quiet week does not go as the couple had planned.

Alexa Chapter 30: What Are You Doing Here?

The Winter Semester is coming to an end. The girls get ready to celebrate and also spend some time in their favourite pursuit, hopping. Unexpected shoppers lead to an interesting day.

Jexy: The Bet

After I wrote the London trilogy, I realized I had overlooked something. I wrote this a week ago after I looked at the schedule. While it really isn't part of the Alexa story line I thought it would be fun. Thanks again to Debbie V for allowing me to 'kidnap' a few of her characters.

Alexa: The Lost Recordings Vol. 2

The second collection of short stories involving Alexa & Jenny. Some of these are bits that were edited out of chapters and others were just me having some fun with the girls. I hope you enjoy!

Jexy Meets The Fly Girls

July 6, 2017

"Perfect way to spend a birthday," Paige giggled as she walked through the vast Mall of America, hand-in-hand with her new fiancée. "Is this really the largest shopping mall in the states?"

"Yep," Jessica said with a sense of pride. "Both in floor size and number of shops. It's not usually THIS busy, though... Did you HAVE to have been born on the 5th of July?"

"Blame my parents, I had nothing to do with it," Paige giggled as she stuck her tongue out at the American woman.

Alexa B-Side: #18 - Bethany

“I can’t believe how Danny and ma were fawning of that little fruitcake” Adam growled as he and Bethany made their way down Cedar Road on their way to Lefty’s Lakeside Grille. Adam had just come from a meeting with his mother and siblings with the family attorney. The estate of his father had been finalized and all that was left was for the papers to be signed. His mother had decided that it should be a family event, which when he got there he found out why.

Alexa: The Lost Recordings Vol. 1

This is a collection of short stories I have come up that feature the characters from my Alexa story, but have nothing to do with the timeline. They were all done for fun. Think of them as bloopers and outtakes, hence the title. I hope you enjoy it!

Alexa - The Singles: Dr. Burke's Birthday

This story does not fall within the timeline of the Alexa story, however it does involve all of the main characters. It is simply a little birthday present for the inspiration behind the character of Dr. Burke, Debbie V, whose birthday is on Monday the 13th

Alexa B-Side: #15 - The Big Date

Alexa B-Side: #15 - The Big Date

“Hello, Katie? Hi, it’s Dan Quinn. How are you?” a nervous young man said into the phone.

“Hey, what’s up?” a confused Katie Fahey replies. Why is Alexa’s brother calling her she wonders?

“You know it was good talking to you the other day. I forgot how, um, nice you were.” Danny continues, trying to be as nonchalant as possible but completely failing in his own mind.

“It was good talking to you too Dan. Did you need something or did you call to talk about Alexa?” The confusion setting in deeper.

Alexa Chapter 16: Reunion

Alexa Chapter 16: Reunion

The following week was crazy. Between the lawyers, school, Debbie and my mother, I seemed to be getting pulled in several different directions.

Alexa B-Side: #14 - Charlotte

Alexa B-Side: #14 - Charlotte

Charlotte openly wept as she read the article and looked at the picture of her daughter for the first time. Her daughter. Words Charlotte never thought she would say in her life. But there in black and white was a picture of Alex, now Alexa, smiling like Charlotte had never seen. He, now she, was happy. Happier than she had ever been in her life and at her side was the same young girl that Charlotte had met before. Shame took over Charlotte as she thought she had failed as a parent as she learned of the torment Alexa had gone through. When Dick had asked her what the problems was, she lost it. She lost it like she never had before in her life. And Dick could not, would not deal with it and stormed out of the house.

The Power of the Written Word

The power of the written word is a line I have heard my whole life. In this day and age of Social Media, I was beginning to fear that the power of the written word was dying. Yesterday, two things happened that proved to me that the power of the written word is not yet dead.

Alexa B-Side: #13 - Reaction

Mary was sitting on her sun porch, enjoying the lovely Sunday morning. It looked like it was going to be another postcard day in Florida. She was enjoying her morning coffee and reading the Palm Beach Post when the tranquility was broken by the sound of her granddaughter’s yelling.

“Grandma, Grandma, where are you?” Julie Preston yelled from the house.

Alexa B-Side: #12 - Marty

A storm was brewing and Charles Martin Thompson the Third knew it. It was not one that would sweep across the frozen lake he was looking at outside his living room window. No, this storm would be inside the massive house along Lake Minnetonka his family had called home for three generations. Taking a sip from the glass of Scotch in his hand he tried to prepare himself for the night that was approaching. A night where two distinct fronts would move in and change the course of this family for a long time to come.

Alexa B-Side: #11 - Grandma Mary

“Mrs. Thompson. You have a telephone call.” The maid said to the mistress of the house.

“And who is it, Candice?” Mary asked her maid.

“It is your granddaughter Jennifer, ma’am.” Candice replied to her boss. Mary’s mood instantly brightened. Jennifer, or as she preferred Jenny, was one of the few members of her family Mary actually liked. Mary instructed Candice to have the call put through to the sitting room she was currently in.

“Hello, grandma?” The voice on the other end of the line sounded confused and a little nervous.
