What Story?

What story was the precursor to Prudence Walker's Identikit? I remember the story, about a guy traveling cross country to find a job. He discovers a crashed spacecraft and finds some items on the ship that he takes with him. One is a laptop that changes his appearance and body. He runs into a woman named Prudence Walker and towards the end Bob Arnold. He spends a lot of time as a woman.

I guess a title would be Good: Femininity by Felicia Gabriel. I read a good part way before I realized it was familiar.

Need a Grammar Cop

Author:

The doctor picked up the package of birth control pills, “How do these pills EFFECT or AFFECT you?”

Rebecca realized that this was more of a grammar question, than a medical question, so she replied, “The pills AFFECT my body, by overcoming the testosterone my body may make. The estrogen works to feminize my body.”

Proper use?

The Author's Mantra

Author:

I saw a comment to a comic that sounded like a line from the Movie Dune,

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion." - The Programmer's Mantra also found in WikiQuotes.

This could also be the Author's mantra

I want to thank everyone

Author:

I want to thank everyone who responded to my request about Bletchley Park. I am writing a story, but I decided to adjust it to be a little more historically Accurate. So I am having a character join Bletchley Park in 1943, instead of 1939.

The information you supplied helped me find what I was looking for.

Thank You

Elizabeth Renoir was in despair. She had lost the most important person in her life, her Mom.

Sandy Jennings was in despair. He was a 17 year old boy, who had spent the last four years living on the street. He was tired, weak and starving. He was ready to die.

What happens when their lives collide?

I know there are some basketball lovers amongst our sisters. What could they do with 40 annual payments of 25 million or 500 million lump sum. Rules to be announced on March 3.

TV's Major Crimes has story about a TG teen

Major Crimes on the TV station TNT had a fictional story about a thirteen year old TG teen, who was missing. The show was season 2 episode 6. There was a fair mix of supporters and detractors, in the expected places and the police seemed to handle the case well. A grizzly circumstance but fair and even handling.

Beth Carlyle sat alone in a quiet corner of the lunch room at her new high school. It was a Monday, the beginning of her second week there as a junior and the third week of the new school year. It had taken less than three days there before some dumb ass macho jock to make her life miserable. He had made a play for her attention and she rejected him, in revenge he and his cronies had spread the L word around with her name.

note: This is an unfinished story I have hung on to for two years.

Fifteen year old Charlie walked into Kim Young-Soo’s Karate Dojang, carrying his forty five pound gear bag. The gear bag, which had seemed so heavy years ago, he gave no notice to these days. Charlie was five foot seven feet tall and one hundred and forty pounds of muscle and bones, with less than five percent body fat.

Logged into Facebook and read that I was dead. My brother had a very close friend, whom his kids called uncle, pass away. My brother's 95 year old mother-in-law posted her condolences for me. Glad I caught that before my daughter did. I'm not dead, at least I think I'm not. Interesting way to start your day.

" How To Make Girls Behave Themselves According to a news report, a certain private school in Victoria, BC recently was faced with a unique problem. A number of year 12 girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night, the maintenance man would remove them and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done.
