Time to...

Batten down the hatches. There is a Trumpstorm going to hit the world after Jan 20th. If (and this is not investment advice) I had any cash tied up in stocks (I don't) then I'd sell now and put it all into gold. When all those aliens are ejected, the US and by implication, the world economy will take a financial haircut.

Other worries

My more immediate concern is if/when he pulls the plug on Ukraine and What Putin Does Next. Replacing the US support will take a lot of courage and money from the governments in Europe and here in the UK.

The consequences of Trump's climate change denial will be substantial, but slower and perhaps I will be dead by then. Selfish, yes, but one problem at a time and Putin has to come first.

Yes it has

Although An election yesterday has nothing to do with the end of the world, which is estimated by scientists should occur in roughly 5 billion years when the sun depletes its remaining hydrogen and expands into a red giant as it switches to helium for fuel :)

Personally, prior to the election, I thought Harris would win with a huge majority, mostly because how much TV shown that Trump seemed to be hated by the masses.

I was wrong.

In retrospect there is one thing I can say I have never done and that is complain and call leaders of other countries names. I feel since I don't live there my opinion really doesn't matter and shouldn't be heard.

We the willing, led by the unsure. Have been doing so much with so little for so long,
We are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Unfortunately...

the United States, due to its economic strength and military might, has an outsized impact on the rest of the world. Who is Prime Minister of the UK, or Chancellor of Germany, has little impact here in the USA. But the President of the United States impacts virtually the entire planet (more than virtually when it comes to climate change). So, the opinion of the world outside of the USA should matter. Not calling names, but an honest opinion, since all of you will be impacted.
