A couple of weeks ago my daughter got knocked off her bike by a car. Fortunately she was more shocked than physically hurt but her bike was damaged and as it's her main form of transport, I bought her a new one from a bike shop which she collected last weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't properly set up and I had to drive up to her place and sort it out for her. I'm not the greatest bike mechanic but at least it was rideable when I'd finished and I'd more or less sorted out the gears.

I then took my ex shopping as she doesn't have transport of her own. At one point I was standing next to my ex father in law who walked straight past me in a store, my ex had made a tactical retreat because she didn't want him to see her - they had an argument yesterday or some such thing. I found it slightly amusing but he hasn't seen me in years nor I him.

Then after a difficult drive back in high winds, rain and fog plus rush hour traffic around Bristol, I got back feeling quite tired. I shall start writing Bike if I can but I'm not guaranteeing to finish an episode tonight. If not you'll have it tomorrow.

And here I was thinkin' ya

And here I was thinkin' ya was an expert in all things "Bike". Silly me!

Take a rest, have a cuppa, pet the moggies, decompress and don't worry about Bike.

{I leave a trail of Kudos as I browse the site. Be careful where you step!}

Family always comes first,

Always. That is a core ethic for me.

I am addicted to your writing, but your health and happiness is much more important. Hope tomorrow goes a bit smoother.

Is this the new ‘Bike’

Reading of your day felt like reading of one of Cathy’s so I was going to suggest you take the evening off. I hope you sleep well while wondering if you have a bow and arrows by your bed.
Thank you as always.

Sounds like

a stress filled day and mental work as much as anything. I must say what an example you are to still maintain good relations with an 'ex' when it is so much easier to just walk away these days. I'm glad you are home safe and if you manage to get the blurb done then great. If not, oh well, we'll survive and just look forward to the next day more
