On Friday I travelled South to the town tht for twenty years I worked in, married in and raised two children. I left there eight years ago with a job in disarray, my health a serious problem and my marriage was subject to divorce. Of course my children didn't see me for ages, either.

That's all in the past and most things have improved beyond recognition. On Friday morning I took my daughter by train, arriving at lunchtime. She went straight to her nan's and let her mother know she was in town. As a 15yo (in 2 weeks time) she is capable to being solo in town but is not alllowed to meet her mother without supervision.

I meanwhile went to find my old friends, whom I see 2 or 3 times a year. I had 5 or 6 hours to kill!

I met up with my daughter at half past six and we headed back to the station, I only had one question for her "did you see mum?"

I was not shocked to learn that the ex didn't show up. The irony is that she had claimed in court, during the divorce, that I didn't care for the children!

Testing Times 34 is up and 35 is in production.

thanks for the update

I was worried about how your trip went, I was going to PM you about it but I am glad that it didn't go as feared. I hope your daughter had some happy memories from the visit despite fear, anxiety, and anger going in.

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime
