I'm contemplating making God Bless the Child available on the site again. I'm wondering if people would appreciate that or if people have had enough of it and couldn't care one way or another. The story isn't your usual transgender fare and it is a highly emotional and volatile story that will make a lot of people scream and caused at least one site operator to call me a son of a bitch (Erin). I know a lot of people have read it and probably have it saved on their computers so it doesn't matter. I would post it all in one shot. Part of me is hoping I could get the 6 reviews I need so I can advertise on book bub (50 reviews seems the magical number for them).

Not sure whether I can say if it is a good move or bad one. However the topic/story seems to come up a lot in the blogs here, so maybe it would be good for it to be posted here for reference to people who want to know what the cool kids are debating/reading...

It seems more and more that to be an author in today's market you gotta treat it as your own personal start-up. Marketing is almost as important as getting the words on the page. Best possible outcome is more people are exposed to your book, worst is that you're where you are right now.

Just post it

It will expose a few more people to your writing. You will get more exposure and more comments, both positive and negative.

Absolutely

I loved it the first time, and it was my introduction to you stories.

Don't let someone else talk you out of your dreams. How can we have dreams come true, if we have no dreams?

The first part of God Bless the Child was one of the most difficult things to read that I've ever struggled through. But it is also as profound in its message of redemption as, for example, Steinbeck at his best.

Yes please, share it here for those unable to buy it. We need such reminders of evil and triumph over it, especially in these days of "statesmen" who trivialize both.
